I asked Netflix to "play something" and it gave me "A Boy Called Christmas."
I almost swiped to whatever was next since I thought it was just for kids but was very glad I stayed with it. It turned out to be very easy to stay with.
Maggie Smith, almost emphatically old, was grand. The story itself was kind and exciting, not two words I typically use together. I looked up some reviews after it was over and found that the Roger Ebert review site loves it, too, and explains very well that one very sad part.
If you've seen it, how much do you love that mouse? I was always worried he wouldn't be able to hold on whenever he perched on the boy's shoulder.

I got interruped in watching it, so I'll remember now, to go back and finish it. It did look good and I need a ton of Christmas this year. Thanks.

Thanks for the recommendation. I saw it last night when I was looking for a good Christmas movie to watch and skipped over it thinking it was for children. I ended up not finding anything at all I was interested in. Funny how there are so many choices and I never can find anything. How many "prince" Christmas movies are there??? I'll watch it now, thank you!

@GingerPeach Yes we watched it the other night and thought it was so cute! And yes that little mouse was just cracking me up. We've been watching quite a few this year, I cannot believe DH is actually enjoying them too! We must be getting old, LOL!

@GingerPeach I watched it yesterday.
A whimsical twist on a classic story.
I didn't recognize Zoe Colleti as the pixie until I saw her name in the credits.
Everyone did a great job and Elfhelm was magical.
Thank you again for the recommendation.
