The "given free outfits by this designer" is more likely the truth. Designers hand out clothes to celebrities like the rest of us hand out candy to kids on Halloween. Jay Leno used to talk about it. Once he became successful it wasn't unusual for a dozen suits to appear at his door from a designer wanting him to wear them on TV. Natalie Portman typically strikes me as being sane (at least by Hollywood standards), so I don't see her spending that kind of money on those kinds of clothes.

As some of you know I am a Goodwill shopper. Tee Shirts are around $5.00,same for jeans. I have seen some some lovely NEW handbags for $ 3-4.00.

This outfit is not even attractive and certainly overpriced.

This sounds like a PR trick her publicist did (dropping a line about the $7k outfit) to get Natalie included on a celebrity page of a rag publication or website. It is probably not true. This kind of thing happens.

I would never pay $7,000 for that outfit .... maybe $50 but that’s it👎👎👎👎👎

@January121  @Group 5 minus 1    I could go to Goodwill and put this look together for $25. AND look better!

Anyway, I would never wear this look...I do not care for it. Maybe doing hedge clipping or lawn mowing...my yucky yard clothes...

I think she got ripped off lol.

The article says she's a brand ambassador for the purse - so that was free and the bulk of the $7k.  I'm guessing the shirt and glasses were free too. Her shoes are Adidas Stan Smith's - everyone at my high school wore them.

It simply shows how celebrities live and we don't.  And it shows how absurd it is for them to tell us how to live; and vice versa.

With priviledge comes responsibility......

And then you hear them whine...Making a movie is so hard...have to be at work at 6am...blah blah..

Nothing to admire here...

Instead of wasting her money on an outfit thats definitely NOT worth it, she should be banking that money instead....actors are a dime a dozen and careers are usually short-lived.....
