There’s finally some good news in 90 Day Fiance land: Russ and Paola Mayfield are expecting their first child! The 90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After alums documented their struggles to start a family this season, even discussing the heartbreaking miscarriage Paola suffered with her first pregnancy.

Because of Paola’s Rh-negative blood type, she learned that carrying a child to full term posed some challenges. But as we saw on the show, doctors assured her that treatment was available to battle those challenges. And it looks like it worked because the couple is reporting that their baby’s heartbeat is strong and the mom-to-be is doing well.

 

Paola told US Weekly, “God has blessed us again, and this time, we are going as strong as our baby’s heartbeat!” adding that she and Russ “are already so in love with our baby.”

As 90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After drew to a close this season, Russ and Paola were at odds about the emotional aftermath of losing their first pregnancy and Paola being separated from her family in Colombia – especially after her grandmother’s death. On their visit to Colombia during filming, Paola also claimed she grew distant from her family because of her sadness over her miscarriage.

In part one of the Tell All this week, Paola went head to head with her nemesis, Anfisa, who she’s accused of being “not very pretty” and a “mail order bride.” The two women almost came to blows when their verbal altercation turned physical, with Anfisa getting up off of the reunion couch to charge at Paola.

No word on how starting a family will affect Paola’s dreams of modeling, or her wishes to be closer to her family back home. For now, Russ and Paola are just thrilled about their little bundle of joy to come. (Let’s just hope they don’t choose Juan as the godfather.)
