Things stayed pretty quiet in the old BB 22 house last night as we meandered along the road of evicting Bayleigh tonight. No real suspense on who goes tonight, it'll be Bayleigh barring a massive upheaval in the old house. She seems to be willing to go, as does about half the house that wanted to leave before the jury started. The rest are now trapped until reportedly October 25th when the finale will take place (though it could be later.)
Enzo, who's playing a pretty good game, circulated through the house yesterday pretty much-telling everyone he was with them and targeting whoever they were targeting. I'm not sure if someone had said they were targeting Enzo that he wouldn't have agreed with them and insist Enzo must go. He's playing a pretty smart game and seems off everyone's radar as is Memphis to a large extent. Memphis has become furniture to much of the house and they just walk by him as if he isn't there. He's likely to hang around for quite a while.
We get a new HOH tonight, assuming Daniele hasn't used her power and given Christmas a chance to repeat as HOH. We'll find out about that tonight. CBS gave Christmas the villain edit last night by having her refuse to save Da'Vonne. The HOH comp is reportedly the slip and slide comp where they race up and down the Crisco covered lanes to fill a bowl using a small cup. (Kevin reportedly saw the setup somehow and we'll see if he's right. It's kind of a lot of people to play the slip and slide with ten, possibly eleven, houseguests playing. That's usually a six to eight-player comp, but they can do more.) Expect a long comp this week and next as the powers still remain in play. They need something for airtime on the Sunday shows and with no Safety Suite or BB Basement needed, the end of the HOH comp fills that niche.
We have a show tonight! (We have too much TV tonight. I'll be watching the NFL on my big TV, BB through CBS All Access on my Chromebook, posting the live show updates on my tablet, and hopping over to check out the hockey score in the rare moment nothing else is happening. Where the heck was all of this stuff much of the spring/summer when there was nothing on TV?)
On tonight's show we may, or may not see the big fight. CBS didn't tease it last night which isn't like them. Typically we'd get a "Tune in tomorrow night as the house erupts in chaos!" with a short clip of the screaming and shouting, but they didn't do that. Are they going to pretend that never happened? We'll have to see. We'll get the live vote to evict after their goodbye speeches. Bayleigh may or may not try to blow up the house as she goes out, but there's not much she can say that they don't already know. She'll then go out to talk to Julie who seems to feel that Memphis is somehow the mastermind of the house. (Uh, no Julie. You need better notes. Kudos to Julie though, she's confused the heck out of the former houseguests with that line of thought. "Memphis? Really?") Then the HOH comp will begin and God willing they'll let us watch it play out, though this year they've been blacking out the feeds most weeks after the show which is stupid.
So, assuming Kevin isn't delusional (which may be assuming a lot) and it is the slip and slide comp, who will win? The smart money is on Cody. He could probably lap the field in that comp. Tyler could give him a run for the money but Tyler's fitness level now is pretty questionable. (Dude, eat something!) Daniele could do pretty well, but she has no interest in winning. Christmas (if Daniele uses her power so she can play) and Ian could possibly do okay, but this would be Cody's comp to win. I'm still a bit confused as to how Kevin could get a glimpse of the comp since there's the roller that covers the backdoor. Unless BB rolled that up for some reason Kevin shouldn't have been able to see anything. We'll find out tonight if he's right or not. It should be a good show.
Expect Christmas to continue with the villain edit tonight, especially if they show the fight. Da'Vonne was pretty calm through all of the early parts as Christmas kept raising her voice. Christmas makes it pretty easy for them to paint her as the villain in that fight, and to some extent she was. BB may choose to ignore the fight completely since they largely forced Tyler to stay against his will.
Who will be the evictee next Thursday? It all depends on who wins HOH, but expect Kevin and Da'Vonne to be prime targets with David and Ian right on their heels. The threesome of Cody, Nicole, and Daniele, who should be everyone's target, look pretty safe for now despite three wall yellers, and one banner plane pointing out they're running the house. Any HOH who doesn't put some combo of those three up will have to answer about a billion questions after the show about why they didn't target them. "I didn't know they were together," is not an acceptable answer. They aren't even hiding it in the house. This is going to be one of those postseasons where everyone who was in the house will wonder why they did what they did. "I should have listened to Janelle and Kaysar" will be a very common refrain.
