Oh, yeah,  his problems with alcohol and drugs go way back.  I remember reading about him being drunk and abusing his wife or girlfriend.  That was a long time ago

Gosh, in his more current photos, he looks a lot like what Gordon Lightfoot looks like now, who was so handsome back during his height of fame (IMO).  He is barely recognizeable now, but his now photos do remind me of what JMV's photos!
