My favorite version is the one made in 1951 with Alastair Sim.

This is one of my preferred versions too.
My most favorite is the one from 1938 with Reginald Owen. I believe it is the first one I ever saw, and the one that seems most special to me.

Loved the version of Jane Eyre (1970) with Susannah York.

Yes! @just bee, had forgotten that.
I have many favorites of his, but maybe the most "rounded" and satisfying role was his absolutely convincing portrayal of British, very Establishment, patrician ex-MI-5 operative in "The List of Adrian Messinger". The guy could just play everything! Oh, and supercilious big-deal Lansing attorney "Claude Dancer", Jimmy Stewart's opponent in "Anatomy of a Murder"....

My favorite version......Love George C Scott as an actor

Since I was a young girl I have always loved Christmas Carol, the Alastair Sim version is the best in my opinion. I love all the Scrooge movies including this , the George C. Scott version. He does a great job of playing Scrooge. The musical version with Albert Finny is excellent too. But my tradition always includes the Alistair Sims Christmas Carol. I know the script having seen it since the fifties and owning the DVD of course. I also have a collection of Scrooge items which I display at Christmas.
I know the movie may be dark and dreary but it is a movie with an inspiring message and I love the ending. I am a fan of Dickens movies and series, love them all and know despite the doom and gloom, all will end well!!!!!!!
