I wound up watching 'Far from the Madding Crowd' yesterday late afternoon w/Julie Christie, Alan Bates, Terence Stamp and Peter Finch.  I really njoyed this movie.  Me?  I would have picked Alan Bates from the get-go.

 

There were a few scenes involving animals that were very difficult to watch, but other than that I really njoyed the characterizations of the suitors going after Christie.

 

Terence Stamp reminds me of a cross between Christopher Walken and Eric Roberts - at least in this movie he did.  Peter Finch was relatively young (midd-age) and handsome, and how could I forget how handsome Alan Bates was in his youth?

 

Good movie.  Worth watching On Demand.
