Just the other day on here, a poster expressed a desire for a comprehensive Hitchcock marathon.   The TCM online newsletter just arrived, which announces a 24 hour binge on November 26.   Viewers can set the recording of their favorites now!

In addition to better-knowns, there are lesser-seens,  like "Rope",  "Torn Curtain",  "Saboteur"--   twelve films in all.

Hey, it's a start!

Re Hitchcock -- In the early morning hours of Monday, tomorrow, 2 lesser efforts of his -- Family Plot and his last, Frenzy.  Haven't seen either one in quite awhile but I don't think either one is "memorable."

Family plot was funny if I recall it right. Greedy folk, etc.

I like the films where they can't wait for some rich person to die, so, they can read the will fast and then try to kill the person ahead of them in order to get the money. LOL

That film with Daniel Criag in it was based on that kind of story. think the old guy dying was Christopher Plummer something about knives was in the title.

Great movie !

Shadow of a Doubt is my all time favorite Joseph Cotton movie.  I didn't know this was a Hitchcock film. Smiley Surprised  WOW!   Now I have to look for him in the film.

Hitchcock makes a short appearance in all of his films.

@Oznell   The Alfred Hitchcock Hour is on every morning at 1:00 am.  Is the marathon this, or Alfred Hitchcock Presents, the half hour shows?  I recorded both eons ago on VHS, still have the half hour shows, but when the hour shows were available in one set, I bought it to get rid of the tons of VHS tapes, and because there were about forty shows that I didn't have recorded.

I remember my Mother laughing everytime his silhouette appeared at the beginning of each episode.

We are definitely Hitchcock lovers at my house! We own DVDs of most of his movies. We’ve seen every movie he directed.

@Mz iMac,  not only is "Shadow of a Doubt" my favorite Joseph Cotten movie,  "Shadow of a Doubt" is my favorite Hitchcock of all time, followed by "Vertigo".

@mousiegirl,  this particular marathon is of just his movies, not any of the television shows he did.  Although, that would be a really fun idea too!
