For anyone interested in global warming/climate change, etc., there is going to be a show tonight on The History Channel called 2 Degrees: The Point of No Return. I believe it's 2 hours and begins at 10:00 p.m. est.
This is a blurb about the show from the HC website:
As the Earth's average temperature rises each year, experts warn that we are nearing a fatal tipping point, 2 degrees Celsius above the norm, that will set into motion a cascade of natural disasters that will devastate America and the world. From raging fires to epic superstorms, volcanic blasts and rising seas, will human existence be pushed to the brink?

I still don't have power, so I can't watch anything yet. Not sure I believe all these doomsday predictions anyway. They have been saying stuff like this for years. The Earth warms, the Earth cools. Lots of factors lead to the changes.

OMG,
history channel tells the world Las Vegas gets its power from Hoover Dam ?!?
Anyone whose ever lived here knows that aint right
(they are in our grid but only for 3 % of our demand)
we use fossil fuels!!
and
NVenergy refuses to allow individuals to recieve credit for power they contribute to the grid from their own personal solar power system or wind genated system to compensate for their own personal power use (i.e. dont bother going solar unless you plan on going off the grid with full battery storage $$$)
no
no
theres a whole network of power suppliers out their keeping our power bill s
well over $400 /mo for half the year (3 bedroom apt.)

I watched about three-quarters of this show and I had to change the channel. Although I thought it was an interesting show, I got so depressed, sad and in a bad mood while watching it. Maybe if they re-air it then I can watch the rest.
