I don't remember the first movie, but my Mom would take me to see the animated Disney movies. It was a real treat for me.

My mother was the 9th of 10 children, so I had a lot of cousins who were young adults. One of them took me and her husband's niece to lunch and to see Snow White. I was 5 years old and it was my first "girls' day out". The first movie I took my niece and nephew to see was E.T.

The earliest I can remember was a movie called
The Christmas that almost wasn't. It was at the Academy Movie Theatre on 14th Street in NYC.
Charlottes Web at Radio City Music Hall.
Sleuth starring Sirs Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine. This was my first grown up movie that I went to see with my father.
He said, "Kbeans, this movie only has two actors in it, you're going to enjoy it." All I could do was watch to make sure there wasn't another actor in it to prove him wrong. At one point a clown appears and I said, "Dad, look it's three actors! " He shushed me and said " Keep watching." 😝
I also remember bringing my son to see ET. Priceless! 🥰

I remember taking my son to see Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It may have been the 50th Anniversary of it's release. We were given a large movie poster. We huge it up on the wall by his play table and chair. But at the 50th Anniversary release of the movie he would have been 2 years old. So I know I took him to Snow White and I got the movie poster. But can't believe I took him at 2.
Who knows. But come to think of it we took my niece to see Beauty and the Beast on Broadway. She was 2 years old. She was fascinated by the show and stood the entire performance. We laughed that we could have saved money and not have bought her a seat.
The first movie I remember seeing, I am not sure what it was. My Mom took me to see a Disney Princess movie that is why it was only Mom and me. My brothers were not interested.
And I remember that I wore my "Sleeping Beauty" dress. The dress was not a costume. It was a regular party dress. The only way you knew it was a Disney Sleeping Beauty dress was the tag on the dress.
So somehow I remember the dress and not the movie.

The first movies I remember seeing as a kid were at the drive-in.
Revealing my age here but the movies were Francis the Talking Mule movies but I do not remember which ones.
I clearly remember the first time being allowed to go to the movie theater alone with a friend was to see South Pacific.
At least I thought I was being allowed to go alone with a friend. Years later I learned that when we were dropped off my mom also went into the movie behind us.

I remember most of the classic Disney movies as a kid...but the one movie I remember most was The Sound of Music... We lived in the Pittsburgh area and my parents took us into town. I think it was the Nixon Theater. It was always a big deal going into town when all the big department stores were there. But the Sound of Music was memorable for me.

The first movie I remember going to as a child was "The Ten Commandments". My cousin, Frankie, who was much older than me, took me to see it.

Although I can’t say with 100% accuracy, but I’m fairly certain it was Bambi at the Coral Theater (torn down years ago 🙁) Back then, Disney used to release their films in the theaters every few years because VCRs and cable just weren’t a thing yet. (I googled the re-release dates and I would have been 4.)
I can’t remember which movies I first took my niece and nephews too. Definitely Disney - I’m thinking Pocahontas may have been one. Maybe Toy Story.
