I assumed the same, due to the story of course.  And they succeeded.  I've lost the ability to watch people doing unkind things, it seems.

 

I just watched Light in the Piazza (1962) and found it charming.  Good people doing good things.   I don't remember ever having seen George Hamilton so young.   And Rossano Brazzi is always a treat.  Olivia de Havilland was wonderful.
