In the least surprising news of the season, Xavier won part one of the three-part HOH comp. I know, I know, shocker! Yeah. So, now we get to see who between Derek or Azah manages to win part two. I'm pulling for Azah. She's smart enough to win part three and take Derek over Xavier while Derek, even if he somehow managed to win part three, would probably take Xavier and lose to him.

Part two should get played either today or tomorrow. (Most likely tomorrow.) Then part three will be on the live show on Wednesday.  In my perfect world scenario, based on where we are now, Azah wins parts two and three, takes Derek, and wins the $750,000. It would be a fitting end to this year's show. The two people who did the least get first and second place.

I suspect Xavier will get the win however and he deserves it, but we've seen that outcome coming since very early on in the season. I prefer a more chaotic ending. I want to see the jurors trying to figure out who between Derek and Azah deserves the win more. I want to see CBS trying to find enough footage of Azah and Derek actually doing something to justify them winning.

We have a show tonight! (Which I probably won't be watching. Sorry CBS.) This will be the typical season-long recap show with a very, very heavy focus on the Cookout and their historic run. They'll give us a few glimpses of part one of the three-part HOH comp but still make us wait until Sunday for the actual comp. It's an hour-long time waster recap.

The good part of it is we get to see how bad our finalists are at acting. They're often required to "remember" things that they have no clue happened. (BB gives them all earpieces and cues them. "Talk about the time X did Y to Z." More often than not the houseguest is completely unaware that X did anything to Z. With Azah and Derek spending most of the season lying in bed, it'll be especially hard for them to "remember" things when they have no idea what happened. So, if you like to see bad acting and confused houseguests, this is the show for you. 

CBS saves footage they want to use later for this show every year and it's typically a disaster of a show. Coaching Derek on what to say may be next to impossible for CBS, though he did his vote to evict okay last night. Watching them "remember" things they have no idea happened, but that CBS wants to air footage of, is interesting in a trainwreck kind of way. CBS will edit a houseguest into a scene if need be to help them "remember." If you want to kill an hour or so and there's nothing else to do, give it a watch, just be advised what you see may not be exactly what happened.

I will not be watching the recap show because I think they are boring as heck.  I'll actually be performing at a monthly ballroom showcase, so I won't even miss it.

Kyland showed his true colors last night and I imagine that the uncut version of events was even worse.  I thought Derek did a good job of making it about HIS game rather than make it personal with Kyland.  I lost all respect for him and I actually thought someone from the crew was going to have to escort him out.

Depending on the comp, I'm pretty sure Azah will win over big D.  And I hope she wins the 3rd part too.

Kyland did himself no favors this year. His performance last night pretty much killed his chances of coming back anytime soon. The rumor mill is already starting on casting for BB24 with some saying it'll be a 50/50 cast with half retreads and half newbies. I suspect CBS would like to take advantage of reusing Derek X, Tiffany, Hannah, Claire, and a few others from recent casts while they're still popular. I never trust the early rumors but that's what's floating around for now.

I can see Ky's frustration.  He sees two floaters who did nothing but sleep and eat while he played hard going to the end.  Azah and BigD don't deserve the money.  What's so funny is they think they're still there because they played a good game are good players.  It's just the opposite.  Both of them are delushional.

I didn't mind Kylands exit speech.  He was under the impression that he and Xavier would go man to man, that's the best man win and not drag along somebody who's done nothing. I think he was fine to call him out on it. Call him out that he wasn't the real man that he pretended to be, that he is just dragging along a floater

Kyland had the ability to act all self righteous and besmirch X's name when we have no idea what he'd really have done if he had been in X's position. Kyland is a liar and a gamer and no one but a fool would choose X to be final two.

Interesting comments that completely ignore Kyland's actions from 1 week ago when Big D and Azah (the one's who have done nothing) could have easily been taken out during Ky's hoh during the double eviction. Instead he chose to evict his 2 long term alliance members, Tiffany and Hannah, both of whom played excellent games. Guess he wasn't quite as frustrated by floaters a week ago as he was last night. I sure hope that sudden onset frustration isn't as contagious as covid. 

And the nonsense about Ky thought they had a deal (comment not directed at whoever posted this) but, please, give me a break. Kyland broke a season's long deal with Tiffany and a long standing alliance with Hannah (they had a F3) with no more than a see ya later gals but thinks a less than one week deal with X, who he knew had a F2 with Big D, is a real alliance? 

For Ky to question X's ability to be a role model to his dead brother's son is as low as you can go. Not to mention this isn't the first time Ky has brought family members into question. He also spoke into the cameras to Tiff's son (a 13 yr old!) about how he should be disappointed in his mom for not trusting him. Who calls out a 13 year old and tells him to be disappointed in his mom and in front of thousands of live feeders? It will probably become a meme--How low ya gonna go? Not as low as Kyland goes. 

Friday is always my favorite day for the RHAP morning update because Pooya Zand Vikili is Taran's co-host. Today they really raked Ky over the coals for his poor sportsmanship. If you're a die-hard fan and don't listen to the morning updates you're doing yourself no favors. They didn't hold back today and it was awesome. 

eta ~ I just want to add that I'm not shading the feelings of the posters I quoted. They both posted about their feelings of understanding which is opinion based and nicer than what I had to say, lol. I'm just pointing out the facts that show his actions don't align with wanting to get rid of floaters or being loyal. It's late, hope this makes sense!

I agree @SusieQ_2 .  Kyland didn't play to the jury well.  If it had ended up being him and Xavier in the final 2, IMO Xavier would have won because he played a much better social game while still winning comps when he needed to. I know SB is bitter towards Kyland, and I bet some of the others are as well.  Kyalnd takes advantage of people's emotions and feelings, while using them to further his own agenda. I would be upset about being elimanated too.. I never get all the hugging and saying it's okay that I've just lost $750,000. However, that is totally different than being a sore loser and the personal attacks on family members. That is stooping really low, and perhaps shows who Kyland really is...it's narcissitic and abusive behavior.

I also want to add my thanks to Gardenman for your commentaries about BB.  Usually by this time I have stopped watching BB and just read your remarks every morning. A lot years I get to know the characters and then as the people I like leave, I then just read your remarks and don't actually watch the show.  When I first started watching, I loved BB but the last few years the cast has not been very interesting to me.  I like a lot of different ages, some showmance, arguing, something to make it interesting.
