Assuming CBS doesn't sell the studio, which is rumored to be happening, there will be a BB 24. I'm not sure a new owner will want to keep the BB set up for 365 days of the year. I've believed for some time that BB would be best served by moving the house to a theme park where it could become an attraction. Universal Studios has the "Home and Family" house on their lot. It might be possible for that house to be modified to serve as a new BB house. "Home and Family" is being canceled so the house isn't needed any longer for that show.
With modern camera technology, you don't need one-way mirrored walls everywhere. You can fill the house with remotely operated cameras that are operated from miles away. A real house with real windows and a real yard would be an interesting twist. You'd need a few tweaks here and there, but it could be fun.
If you really want to go crazy, I've always liked the idea of a fully modular house where each component is on wheels. Start them out in a luxury penthouse type feel. If they fail to meet a household goal when they come back from the competition have them find their house changed into more of a poor house. All the luxury is gone and they're paupers. A fully modular house wouldn't be terribly hard to build in a studio setting. You could have a lot of fun with a modular home. Move the bathroom while everyone's asleep. They get up to go to the bathroom the next morning and it's not where it was. Or is it? Did they forget where it was? You could have a lot of fun with that. I also like the idea of an always available yard for the houseguest. Maybe enclosed like a greenhouse to keep wall shouters at bay.
Maybe have a BB Banner plane that travels back and forth across the yard with messages that could be from fans, outsiders, family, production, etc. Sometimes maybe have messages that are just gibberish and have them all going nuts trying to figure out what it meant.
I've talked about giving the houseguests points without telling them what the points are for and also give them the power to make binding deals by trading points. This would insert more immediate greed into the game. There are lots of things that could be done fairly easily that would shake up the game.
And don't treat everything like a secret. Post the order of comps well in advance so fans know you're not helping one player by having a certain comp at a certain time. Once the houseguests are sequestered, post the comp order, twists, etc. Be more transparent. And be fair to the live feeders. If a houseguest is singing or talking about something they shouldn't be just mute their mic. It's not that hard. You don't have to kill the feeds nonstop.
