Not a lot new to update. Brittany made a push to try and convince Turner to give Alyssa a sympathy vote and have Monte break the tie. (Brittany wants to save Alyssa now but needs Turner's vote to do so.) Turner seems to have seen through that though and has vowed to vote out Alyssa to his new best friend in the whole wide world in Monte. (Who will leave Turner behind as he cashes the check for $750,000 as the winner of BB 24.) Turner is very much a follower who needs someone to lead him and for now, that person is Monte.
So, barring a major change, Alyssa is the goner tonight. Then a new HOH comp that only provides safety for the winner. The POV comp on Saturday will determine which of the three eligible for eviction houseguests will get kicked out next. The POV holder will have the sole vote to evict. (Unless the HOH also wins POV.) We're deep into the BB doldrums these days.
Who will win BB 24? I've said Monte pretty much from the start. It still looks that way. He's got Taylor and Turner protecting him for now. Those three want Brittany out next, so unless Brittany wins HOH or POV, she's a goner. Production has wanted Taylor to go far in the game. They saved her in week one by canceling the eviction after Paloma went gaga. Taylor would have been out then. They don't typically just cancel the eviction and wipe out an HOH's reign, but they did for Taylor. She'd give them the first black woman winner of BB, so they could forget they haven't had one up to now and put that narrative behind them.
For Brittany to win, she'd need to pull off an amazing series of wins and then find one of the other three she could beat with the jury. And that's the hard part for her. I think she loses against any of the other three. At best, she might be playing for second place now. Turner and Monte have The Pound and The Leftovers voting for them if they make it against Brittany. Brittany might have Michael and, uh, well...Michael? Yeah. Not a lot of support in the jury for Brittany right now.
If Taylor gets to the final two, she'll pull out the first black woman to win BB angle and remind the women that they all wanted a woman to win this season. With Alyssa, Brittany, Jasmine, and Indy in the jury, she might get four of the five votes she needs there. Monte, Michael, or someone could be her fifth vote.
We have a show tonight. We'll see the house give Alyssa the boot. We should see the new arrivals at the jury house and learn if the big altercation that's been rumored took place or not. (I'm kind of betting no. Whispers have disappeared very quickly about that.) We should see the start of the HOH comp and maybe even the new HOH. Then everything comes down to Saturday's POV comp. This could be the swinging, hang-on-a-rope HOH comp. Turner has said repeatedly he'll drop quickly as he gets very dizzy. Brittany will hang on for dear life. Monte likely feels he's safe no matter what and may drop quickly. Taylor may not mind Brittany winning and could use her to get out Monte or Turner for her. We'll have to see how it plays out.
A Brittany HOH win wouldn't shock me though. I'm not sure she's as big a target as everyone says she is either. She'd be a good person to take to the final two with you. Most of the jurors don't like that Michael and Brittany played the race card against Kyle. Brittany murdered the jury votes of Jasmine and Indy by attacking them on the way out. She's arguably the easiest of the houseguests to beat in the finale. Why not take her to ensure you get the win?
