Day one in Jankie World is done! Just six more to go! No one's especially happy about this twist, but they won't be complaining the rest of the year when they're locked inside for a few days.
Leah used her power as HOH to nominate Kimo and Rubina, but there might be a plan afoot to replace one of them with T'kor in a backdoor. Leah discussed that option with Makensy and Cam. It would probably be a smart move if she could pull it off. T'kor is poised to go far if no one targets her and with Chelsie and Cam already more or less allied with her, along with Rubina and Kimo, getting her out later might be tough. Getting the votes now might be tough. Leah probably has Angela and Makensy on her side. If she saved Rubina with the POV, she might pull in Rubina's vote.
We've learned more about the HOH comp. It was using a skewer to hold a marshmallow in place. Angela, Cam, Leah, and Rubina were the final four in the comp. Rubina dropped and Leah made a deal with Cam and Angela, then Cam apparently dropped and didn't quit, but fell and Angela stepped aside for Leah. Angela might have fallen first then Cam. We'll find out for sure on tomorrow's show.
They'll do some sort of a draw for POV players today. (Everything's different in Jankie World.) Then the POV comp. They're assuming the POV comp will involve counting the various items in the carnival game booths around them, which is probably a pretty good assumption. Chelsie has spent a lot of time counting and memorizing stuff, so if she's picked, she has a good shot at winning. No one's very happy living in Jankie World when there's a nice, air-conditioned, building just past the door with nice soft beds instead of camping cots.
The cots by the way aren't ideally suited for a player as tall as Makensy. Some part of her has to hang off the cot. Yesterday morning she'd built a tower of pillows and had her head on them past the cot while her feet barely fit on the cot.
Leah is clearly targeting one of the trios in the house with Rubina, Kimo, and T'kor all either already on the block or a possible backdoor option. The Cam, Chelsie, Makensy trio seems safe this week. Leah might view Makensy as a possible ally also.
I'll post back later when we know the POV players and the outcome of the POV comp. With just eight players left, only two won't play and one of them will host the comp.

Yeah, I think Chelsie and Cam are bigger long-term threats, but Makensy is kind of, sort of, on decent terms with Leah, so that might have helped form her decision. Leah also promised Cam safety, so her options were limited.
Chelsie, Angela, and T'kor were picked to play in the POV.

Personally, I think she is targeting the wrong trio. I also do not like this twist at all. It would be OK for one or two days, but with the California weather, it could be very unhealthy. A week is just too much IMO.
Fortunately it is cooler this week. I think 79 ish and lower for the week. So that is good for them. I just feel badly for Leah who loses her HOH room/bathroom

Leah won the POV! She has all the power this week!

An update. Angela won the "real" veto and Leah won the Jankie veto. I have no idea what that means. Two vetoes? Both usable? Only one usable? Do both veto holders have to agree on who or whether to use the veto? We don't know.

Maybe production all caught Julie's Covid and no one's working this week. Ya think??????
