Well, that was interesting. Friday night into Saturday morning saw a new alliance form called the "Pound" of Turner, Kyle, Monte, and Joe with Joe being more or less the ringleader. They talked of bringing in Michael, Brittany, and Taylor to give them numbers to take out Amerah who they'd decided was the ringleader of the girls' alliance.
Then we had the picking of the POV players and Taylor/Nicole were picked to play for POV. It was a puzzle comp where one player would be suspended in a harness while their partner would hand them puzzle pieces and raise or lower them in the air to fill in the pieces.
Nicole emerged from the upstairs diary room after the picking of the POV players in tears and raced to her bedroom where she hid under the covers while Daniel consoled her. Her mother has cancer and everyone assumed she'd gotten bad news about her mother, and it was a worried house. (The upstairs DR houses the counselors and when you get called there it's typically for bad news or to get meds.) Nope. That wasn't the problem. Nicole was worried going in that it was, but no, they just wanted to talk to her about her plans to throw the comp to get Taylor on the block. (Apparently she didn't have to throw the comp as Taylor was very bad at it.) Nicole felt horrible for planning to throw the comp, but Daniel assured there that it was the right thing to do as Taylor was a horrible person. They then united in their Taylor hatred and the tears went away and Nicole was happy again.
Things got exciting pre-comp as Daniel and Taylor had a confrontation where Daniel blamed Taylor for Paloma's mental breakdown (and maybe Nicole's?) Nicole and Taylor then reportedly had a long exchange also. And just to round things out, Jasmine passed out while putting on her harness and that forced both she and Turner to drop out of the comp for medical reasons.
So, it was Taylor being "helped" by Nicole with whom she'd just had a blowup, versus Michael and Brittany. Suffice it to say Michael and Brittany won. Taylor was reportedly very bad at the puzzle (possibly throwing it to Michael and Brittany?) It made for a very long afternoon on the feeds as the fight and medical situation combined with the comp took forever.
So, with that comp done, talk turned to who the replacement nominee would be. After the POV Turner was back on board with booting Taylor to lower the drama level in the house. (Even the Pound was planning to still evict Taylor next week if they got rid of Ameerah this week, so it's not like they love Taylor.)
Meetings, discussions, and chatter took place all over the house, and eventually, the Pound got together and decided to bring in Michael, Brittany, and Taylor as members, and the new alliance was called, "The Leftovers." They now plan to put up Ameerah and Terrance this week with Ameerah as the target. They're assuming they have solid votes from Brittany and Michael. (Which might be a bad assumption, but we'll see.)
So, if Ameerah is the target, how do the votes break? We have fourteen houseguests and two would be nominees bringing the number to twelve. Turner could only vote in the event of a tie, so that drops the voters to eleven. It takes six votes to evict someone this week with no chance of a tie. Voting to definitely keep Ameerah, as of now, would be Indy, Alyssa, Daniel, Nicole, and Jasmine. Voting to oust Ameerah would be Joe, Monte, Kyle, and Taylor. Michael and Brittany would be somewhat up in the air, though Brittany seems happy to be in the "Leftovers" and might vote their way. Terrance would have no vote as the nominee opposite Ameerah, and neither would Turner as there couldn't be a tie this week. And that puts all of the pressure on Michael. (Truth be told Brittany's vote is anything but solid. She's not the most stable player we've seen.)
If you're Michael and Brittany and you look at the two sides, are you more confident in your ability to beat Monte, Joe, Kyle, Turner, and Taylor, or Daniel, Nicole, Ameerah, Alyssa, Indy, and Jasmine? That girls' side of the house looks easier to beat later in the game. Daniel's the biggest physical threat on that side as opposed to Monte, Joe, and Kyle on the other side. No matter which side they go with, they'll be on the bottom. The "Leftovers" when they were the "Pound" were already talking about taking out Taylor next week if she survived this week, so they're not married to the lesser members of their alliance. It's basically a boys' alliance with the two girls and Michael as extra votes.
Michael and Brittany have to figure out where they'll be safest. They're kind of in the middle now. Whichever way they lean, they should be pretty safe until jury, as each side would have bigger fish to fry. Joe, Monte, Kyle, Taylor, and Turner would be bigger targets for the girls, while Daniel, Nicole, Alyssa, Indy and Jasmine would be bigger targets for the guys.
And of course, we have to figure in the Bestie twist for next week. The bestie pairs of Indy/Alyssa and Joe/Monte would be most at risk since the two girls are the only pro girl duo while the guys are the only pro guy duo. All of the other duos (other than Michael/Brittany) are a mix of the two sides. Putting up a pair that includes one of your guys/gals isn't the smartest as you're already down one vote due to being HOH, so you can't really afford to take away another vote by putting up one of your people. And if that all-boys or all-girls duo wins POV, you've got to put up either the Michael/Brittany pair or one of your guys/gals. That keeps Michael and Brittany in a very bad spot.
Things should be relatively calm today. Expect lots of nervousness as everyone tries to figure out what the plan is going forward, and votes get mentally counted. They should get the yard back today which will ease things a bit. Being trapped in the house for days on end is stressful. As of this moment, Michael and Brittany are safe due to winning the POV, and Ameerah and Terrance are likely heading to the block. Not an ideal spot for Terrance as there's a pretty good chance the girls can rally the one vote they need to keep Ameerah from either Michael or Brittany. It'll be an interesting week.
