Yesterday we found our new HOH Turner debating who to nominate. One of the first people to be interviewed by him was Brittany who more or less volunteered herself and Michael as pawns. Instead of saying, "We've got your back as long as you keep us safe, we'll do whatever you want." Brittany went in and more or less volunteered to be a pawn alongside Michael, who was much less enthusiastic about the idea when word got back to him. "Uh, what?" Michael knows pawns go home on a regular basis. Pooch was proof enough of that.
So, after lengthy interviews with everyone, Turner put up Michael and Brittany. She later had a crying session in the Have Not room and wondered why she was so bad at the game. (We all wonder about that. She has an uncanny ability to say and do the wrong thing at the wrong time to the wrong person. It's like she's saying in her head, "Whatever I do, don't say that." And then she says just that. She knows she's playing badly and can't seem to fix it. It's interesting to watch.)
Turner seemed to start out his HOH reign with Nicole firmly in his sights, but by the end of the interview process, Taylor had slipped into his target crosshairs and was the clear target. Jasmine, Turner's Festie-Bestie is leading the charge against Taylor, who didn't help her cause any by bumping Jasmine's injured ankle at the nomination ceremony. You're already a target for the house, and there's one injured houseguest
who happens to be the partner of the HOH, and you hit her injured leg? Ugh! Not smart!
At midnight, the house celebrated Joe's birthday, and everyone had fun. Indy is not enjoying being a Have Not while Alyssa is tolerating it and claims she needs to be a Have Not to help lose some weight. (Uh, okay. Sure.) Both are anxious to no longer be Have Nots though.
Today we'll see the picking of the POV players and the POV comp. The picking of the POV players will be critical. The duos will play as duos with Turner/Jasmine, as one duo, Michael/Brittany as another, and then one duo drawn from the bag. If Nicole/Taylor aren't drawn from the bag (and the odds are one in five that they will be) then the die will be cast, and no one will care who wins POV as Taylor/Nicole will go up as a backdoor and Taylor will be leaving this Thursday.
They're already saying that if Taylor and Nicole aren't in the comp and if there are prizes, that whoever wants a prize should take it. Suffice to say it won't be a hard-fought, fight to the end comp if Taylor and Nicole aren't in the comp. The comp will be thrown like no comp has been thrown before. "Here, you take it." "No, I insist you take it." "I don't want it." "Neither do I." "Let's give it to Mikey! He'll take it!"
So, the only real suspense today is in the picking of the POV players. If Nicole/Taylor don't get picked, then Taylor is going home on Thursday. If they do get picked and it's a comp where Nicole can sabotage their chances, she's likely to do so. The house is pretty much united to oust Taylor this week. The guys want another girl out. The girls want Taylor out. And Taylor isn't helping herself by telling Nicole she thinks they should ally with the guys to get out the girls. (Taylor has been trying to ally with the guys since day one and the guys have said, "No thanks." Nicole is in multiple alliances, most of which include most of the girls, so getting the girls out is not in her best interest. Taylor is allied with, well, no one.)
I'll post back later when we know who the POV players are and then with the POV results when available. I would expect the Michael/Brittany duo to win the POV. They'll then use it on themselves, and Turner will replace them with Nicole/Taylor and Taylor will be leaving by an eleven-to-nothing vote on Thursday. Then Brittany is cued up to be the next one out the door. (Though that could all change depending on who wins the next HOH.)
