It's show time! Julie opens with "Expect the unexpected." To put it mildly. We get the normal recap. A preview of the houseguests crying and consoling one another after a shocking announcement. (Paloma leaving?) The Backstage twist seems to be off for tonight. Julie will tell us and the house more later. We're getting lots of Paloma early. Lots of Taylor also. Now we see Taylor chatting up the house. Now we see Taylor lying to Brittany about telling Monte that Paloma was targeting the guys. Now we see Taylor and Monte chatting. Monte says it's too late for Taylor. Taylor now talks to Paloma. Taylor says it's all a misundestanding. (Eh, no.) Time for a break.

Now we see Paloma recruiting guys for the Girls Girls alliance and then Ameerah. Kyle, Pooch, Monte, Paloma, Ameerah, and Alyssa are in. Then they dump Pooch and replace him with Michael. Now we see Pooch and Brittany chatting in the storeroom. (Brittany uses the storeroom for meetings a lot.) Brittany gets herself in trouble by ratting out Ameerah targeting Pooch. Now Pooch tells Ameerah what Brittany said. Now we get Jasmine and Ameerah chatting up Brittany.  Brittany lies and knows Pooch exposed her. Brittany becomes a target. Time for another break.

Probably no eviction tonight. The voting would typically be starting about now, but no chatter about the vote yet. Things are pretty stretched out tonight. 

Now Julie talks about how difficult the house can be. We hear Paloma talking about only getting two hours of sleep a night and her being exhausted. We see her coming unraveled.  Turner worries about her mental health. Alyssa talks about how everyone is worried about her. We see Paloma go to the DR. Now Daniel comes out with a message and tells them that Paloma is out due to a personal matter. Monte leads them in prayer for Paloma. Turner is very upset. Daniel talks of viewing her as a sister.  And that's how they handled it. Brittany was kept safe, but now it doesn't matter.

Time to chat up the house. Five were in jeopardy. The original plan was no vote and eviction, but a battle between a nominee and a backstage pass holder that would send a houseguest home. Now the backstage twist is over. Alyssa and Brittany are now safe. Both nominees are also safe. (Probably not for long in Taylor's case. She's still a big target.) Time for the HOH battle.

The HOH comp looks like a race across the spring-loaded stepping stones they've used before. (Those going later have an edge as the springy stones keep moving to let later runners see them.) Daniel is not allowed to compete which is tacky since his nominees are all still there. Two racers at a time chosen by a random draw. Pooch goes against Michael. Michael wins round one. (They couldn't hear Julie say "Go!") Taylor and Alyssa up next. Alyssa fell off and Taylor won. Indy goes against Joe. (The stepping stones aren't spring loaded this time.) Indy fell and Joe won. Time for another break.

Michael winning HOH would be interesting.

Time for more racing.  Brittany faces Ameerah. Ameerah gets the win!  Jasmine faces Terrance. Jasmine gets the win! And hurts her ankle.  We get a break while they tend to her.

Things are not going so well this season. Jasmine looked pretty unhappy and could be done.

Jasmine's lying on the stage as Kyle and Turner face off. Kyle gets the win. Monte faces Nicole. Monte falls. Nicole and Monte both fall. Monte gets the win. And that's it for now. The HOH comp will be finished later.

Monte and Nicole were both obviously trying to throw the comp, but no matter how many times Monte fell, Nicole fell one more. Monte more or less defaulted into winning that race. The race winners will face off in the HOH comp at some point and we'll have a new HOH. Michael pretty much flew through the race and could be a favorite to win if they use the same comp. Jasmine looked pretty unhappy and will likely be on crutches for a bit if she stays. It's becoming a messy season of BB.

Jasmine rolled her left ankle pretty badly. It's never a good thing when you can see the top of one shoe and the bottom of another at the same time.  If she's lucky, it's "just" a sprain and she'll be up and around in a few days. It doesn't look lucky on the video though. That has the look of a Dak Prescott-type injury. He needed surgery. She finished the comp fine, then stepping down from the platform rolled her ankle. We'll have to see what happens, but we might have lost another hamster.
