Narrated by Whoopi Goldberg, the series explores stories of people taken in by claims and promises that proved too good to be true, revealing how the victims were fooled and the cost of their false trust. The series also features interviews with the people caught up in the cons, victims, eyewitnesses, law enforcement and the perpetrators themselves.

 

The stories are "rehashed" from the CNBC "American Greed" series.  I've never heard this ABC series.  I was searching for something I missed On Demand when I spotted it.  I have been catching up on the episodes & only watching the ones I haven't seen on "American Greed."  AG goes into more "details" than the ABC series.

I'm also enjoying these shows. The one about the psychics this week made my blood boil. I can't imagine myself getting sucked into one of these scams but tried not to judge the victims too harshly. I'm a born skeptic but not everyone is.

 

Fascinating series!
