st clairs chicken and dumplings

I noticed today on gourmet holiday that Corky's is doing chicken and dumplings. In the past corky's and stclairs partnered on side dishes. Did corky's take over st clairs? Wondering if anybody knows the answer, i really like st clairs

Re: st clairs chicken and dumplings

St. Clair Foods produced side dishes and other items for Corky's Ribs & BBQ, and St. Clair Foods was recently acquired by Reser's Fine Foods

The relationship was a long-standing one where St. Clair acted as a manufacturer for Corky's, not a direct partnership between Corky's and Reser's.

Details of the Relationship
  • St. Clair Foods and Corky's: St. Clair Foods, a Memphis-based manufacturer of refrigerated deli salads and frozen side dishes, had a business relationship with Corky's Ribs & BBQ. St. Clair produced items for Corky's, including their "El Terrifico-brand cheese sauce" and likely the homestyle side dishes sold in grocery stores and through online ordering (such as macaroni and cheese, twice-baked potato casserole, and holiday sides).
  •
  • Reser's Acquisition: In May 2024, Reser's Fine Foods, a leading provider of refrigerated deli salads and side dishes, acquired St. Clair Foods. St. Clair became an operating division of Reser's, but continues to operate under its own name and produce its existing product lines.
  •
  • Nature of the Connection: The connection between all three entities is a result of this acquisition. St. Clair was a manufacturer for Corky's, and now St. Clair is owned by Reser's. There was no direct "partnership" between Corky's and Reser's to produce a specific line of sides; rather, the manufacturer that produced Corky's items (St. Clair) became part of the Reser's family of brands.

I've tried some Reser's sides when in a pinch so consider the new ownership a good thing.

Corky's sold to QVC a couple years ago I believe hard to keep up with proprietorship.

It always looked like slop whenever it was presented.
