"Moved" forums are not moved - they are deleted. Does QVC mean they are "moved" to the trash? Why not just REmove the offensive comment and leave the rest? Or is QVC becoming so PC that only Pollyanna comments can be shown??

@Peoplearenuts, I think you mean threads or posts (rather than forums) which say they were "moved" when they were actually deleted from our view?
They use the term "moved" because they actually do move the threads and posts to an area of the website only accessible by Q employees. This preserves the thread or posts, and sometimes allows the moderators to review, edit, and then reinstate the thread or post. It also preserves the information in case someone contests the decision and asks for the thread/post to be restored.

First, the moderators frequently remove individual comments rather than entire threads. I am sure you have seen this if you have spent any amount of time on the in the forums.
Secondly, for very active and/or heated threads, individual removal is not always possible due to the freuqnet, heated postings.
Additionally, there are only a handful of moderators dealing with a large number of threads. "Surgical" removal and editing is not feasible in many cases.
As to the nature of the comments that are allowed, stop complaining. You and everyone else here know the rules. You agreed to them in order to participate here. To act otherwise means you feel thadt the rules do not apply to you, your promise to follow them does not apply, or you were not paying attention when you agreed. Which is it?

It's pretty much a generic tag that the moderators add to if they want. Perhaps they just have to type [moved] to get the tag.

Which is what??? As long as there is no profanity, or racial slurs, why can't opinions be given? If there is going to be such a tight rein on comments, maybe the threads, forums or whatever you want to call them should all be removed.

I'm not sure what you're asking, @Peoplearenuts. If it helps, a forum is basically the overall term for the community itself. A thread is a discussion that has an original post and usually has replies. A post is each individual comment added by someone, whether the original one which starts a thread or subsequent ones which reply to a thread.
I explained why they say a thread or post was "moved," because it actually is moved. Are you asking about the way the moderators make their decisions about what to allow here and what to disallow? Maybe reading their Standards for Participation would help?
(Sorry if I'm explaining anything you already know -- I'm just unsure about what you're asking.

(To see the policies, just look at the left side of any page in the forums and click on the word "Standards" or you can go to this link: https://www.qvc.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/TemplatedDisplayView?storeId=10251&langId=-1&catalogId...

I haven't noticed any forums here moved but there are quite a few that I never even enter.
Just for a frame of reference, for those who are new to the internet:
This overall entity is a 'board'.
Within the board are 'forums'.
Within the forums are 'threads'.
Within the threads are 'posts'.
