Re: please ,less host talk ,more of the the presenter talk

@CoG  I so agree with you, but then the Q will ruin them when they give them their own show.

Re: please ,less host talk ,more of the the presenter talk

that is nice of you ,and I don`t want to be mean or rude  to some hosts ,they have a job, just talk  about the QVC card for deals and if it might be ready to sell out ,but please ,they need to let the Vendores  talk of their products ,if the presentors ,can`t explain their products ,they shouldn`t be on air........................................................Maybe QVC ,can make a time of the year ,like Christmas or something to visit and not sell and talk of their families etc,but not ,when i`m taking my time to watch and learn  about a product.so glad we all are voicing w/o any rudeness, just our thoughts to QVC ,how they can improve their shows ,there has been many times,I turn it off ,get so frustated with some hosts .PTR is another ,who I want to hear of his products and explain ,as he creates them ,not the host, they just need to  guide the process gently ,please ,QVC mhear us ,I`ve been watching for years and must say ,it at times in unbearable ,we want an enjoyable and informative shows on the presenters knowledge and products ..thank you ,for listening

Re: please ,less host talk ,more of the the presenter talk

There has to be a happy medium between the sides.  As a buyer before I can make a purchase I need a complete uninterrupted demonstration of the product.  I need to see front, back and inside of a purse with dimensions before you discuss the trim, leather, etc.  Clothes please show front, back, colors and anything special feature before you start styling.   Often the models have layers on and I can not see the item being sold.  Do they have on their normal size, may I see all angles so I can see the fit.  Often the models wear their clothes tighter than I would.  I want to know if I need to size up. This has been discussed many times here on the forums.  There are designers who left alone would spend an hour styling and telling us how and where to wear our purchases.  The hosts needs to speak up and make sure the customer has all information.  After that there is time for styling and chit chat.   I turn the channel when the show is a mess.  I am tired of having items I want sold out before I get information.  I used to order to make sure my purchase went through and then cancel immediately if it was not for me.  QVC does not like that.  I am not sure why it was a problem as the record is all done and completed on the computer in about 15 minutes.  No human is involved.  I do respect there wishes.

I also agree that SG talks too much. The host do interrupt people and some of them apologize, but not too many. I can understand if they are to tell the customers something about a product/color selling out but let the guests talk.

Elise is my favorite new host. She's adorable and polite. Also enjoy Mary and Stacey. So glad to have these fresh new personalities.

I agree!  I don't care to hear the hosts stories at the expense of product information.  Hearing the same personal stories over and over from one host is boring, not cute as she thinks it is.  Nor do we need an update every 30 seconds on how many of each color is left.  I think that is done by one host just to show they have control over the vendor.

Also, the host should just be quiet and the the designer talk.  All of this talking over one another is quite annoying, not to mention rude.

^^^^^ This!

The people over talking each other ruin a show whether it's a talk show or a QVC presentation. I wish the hosts & vendors would be trained to stop this.

Re: please ,less host talk ,more of the the presenter talk

I don't watch QVC much anymore because of this very issue.  I sat down last night to watch a little bit of Amy's fashion show and was reminded why I hit the mute button all the time.  It was almost manic, that show.  People walking all over the set in front of the host/vendor.. Constant interruptions with everybody talking at once.  It was wild.  Not my cup of tea at all.  I wish QVC would listen to it's customers.  I've seen this issue raised many times in the past and still not much has changed.  If anything, it seems worse.  I used to enjoy sitting down and watching but not so much anymore.  It's been good for my pocketbook though...

Re: please ,less host talk ,more of the the presenter talk

I, too, have been recording the shows I am interested in for quite a while.  I have no time to sit and listen to idle chatter from the hosts,  These people need to remember they are salespersons and not celebrities.  When I go to the mall, the salespeople help me with the product I am looking at, and do not start talking about themselve or other personal matters.  I have had this conversation with Customer Service  quite a few times, and nothiing is done about it.  Recording helps a lot.,  I don't get headaches anymore listening to talk I am not interested in, the constant interruptions and the incessant, inane, mindless, unnecessary conversation.
