This has been mentioned here in the past, but recent experiences make me think it's worth revisiting.  QVC ought to develop some guidelines for the product videos that are posted on the website and make sure the videos adhere to those guidelines.

Yesterday I watched two product videos:

1--a bracelet...First part of the video was a close-up and discussion of some rings that will be coming up later in the show.  Why not edit that out since it had nothing to do with the bracelet?  So many times product videos feature talk about just about anything but the product.  I suggest that QVC edit the videos before posting them online to ensure that you just cover the product.  I realize the hosts can prattle on and on about stuff, but you can edit it so that product videos are more concise.

2--a pair of pants...Lots of discussion between host and vendor while showing the pants in vendor's hands and on a hanger.  Finally got to see the pants on models and learn both of them are wearing size extra small.  They mentioned a plus size model was wearing the pants in an earlier part of the show, but that part wasn't included in the online product video.  As an online shopper, I want to see the clothes worn in a variety of ways on a variety of body types just like the viewers did during the live show.   Anything QVC can do to showcase a clothing item in a variety of ways/sizes on the website would be appreciated.

Good points!  Since there are many of us who rather shop on line Q rather than watch on TV, the website should be updated and the videos cover it all.  I will continue to shop  Q on line and hope they update .I won't hold my breath though!!!!!  LOL

Re: online product videos

Doubt QVC has the time or employee(s) available to do the additional work. They tape the videos during the actual presentation and we are fortunate to have them to view later. It would be nice; however after seeing the Second Quarter Financials, it is not going to be a priority. They need so much more to turn things around.

I really don't care as I rarely watch the videos.  I get all the info I need from the description and measurements.  The video is just fluff.

@wildcat fan - You bring up some great points. My big complaint about the product videos (which I resurrect in the forums from time to time because no one ever does anything about it) is the fact that clicking pause makes the whole screen go dark, defeating the purpose of trying to stop the presentation for a moment to better see the details of an item. This has not always been the case; it was "a feature" of one of the upgrades a couple years ago, and I've been bothered by it ever since. I try to let it go, but it is very frustrating when I really need to see how a jewelry setting or paint job or seaming looks up close.
