Re: easy pay concept is good but

I have ordered with easy pay on QVC back in the day. Most items(jewelry) were paid in full by my debit card at the time I ordered.  When I did choose to pay by easy pay, I would not order another item until the 1st item was paid off. QVC (Until a few months ago) uses easy pay, like they are doing you a favor. Most shopping channel give you flex or easy pay,all the time and on special occasions if you used their card you may get a extra flex.

i'm just not a fan of easy pay, for me anyhow.  My philosophy is that if I can't afford to pay off the full price, then I shouldn't be buying the item.  But that's just me.  I know it's beneficial to many.

Re: easy pay concept is good but

I like easy pay on things that don't run out or wear out in 6 mo or less.

For ex a laptop, a vacuum, a camera, a pillow, jewelry. I certainly don't want to pay for my mascara year round in small pieces. Easy pay is a tactic to make you spend more. If you have $50 to spend....would you wanna buy one thing? Or you can get 4 things and pay over time lol.

Easy pay this and easy pay that, and then it's no longer easy to pay that combined big bill! I have easy pay amnesia so use it sparingly.

The very last thing I want QVC to do is to go cheap.  Right now they offer great value in what I perceive as moderately priced clothing.  I know that means it's expensive for some people, but it's also cheap for others.

I don't buy my clothes from Armani or Chanel because I can't afford them.  Should they lower their prices so I can?  I don't think so.  I just have to go shopping elsewhere.  Same with QVC - you can buy less expensively - but I don't find the same quality and/or selection other places.

I just don't understand why QVC would change when lots of what they offer sells in large quantities already.  They might gain OP, but then they'd lose me and other shoppers who are already buying.  How would that make sense?

EZPay -  OP underestimates the intelligence of the buying public - we know it doesn't make an item any cheaper, but millions of buyers use it --and thousands come here asking when there will be EZPay.  Must be good for them!

EZ pay is free money without interest.  Also if you want to get the item home and take a look at it in person, you can do that without the total investment.

Re: easy pay concept is good but

Easy Pay is NOT a requirement to shopping with Qvc, it's a choice and it helps a lot of shoppers.  As for the costs of item's, if the prices are too much for YOU that does not mean they are expensive.  It just means you can't afford them.  Nothing wrong with that, there are many, many fine retailers out there with lower prices.  QVC is giant, multinational retailer it's not private club that....lol

Re: easy pay concept is good but

Actually, the way QVC (and all other retailers) rush the seasons, I feel quite the opposite of the OP (item seems old by 3rd payment.)  If I buy a sandal or short-sleeve item now, I'll likely be on my last payment by the time I actually wear it.  Kind of works from that perspective. Smiley Happy
