this has been posted about previously.....put the sh&handling charge on the original info so it does not have to be placed in the cart to see sh&h then removed from cart if customer does not want it.

I have to agree with that, I think it is deceptive. More than once I have putsomething in my cart and then abandoned it because of the S/H fees.

Yes, it has been posted and discussed many, many times.

Seems like it isn't going to change back even though we would prefer it.

Q isn't the only site I shop at that does this though.....

"Q isn't the only site I shop at that does this though....."

But in many cases that is due to the seller needing the zipcode to compute the shipping cost.

If QVC or TV shopping in general never put the shipping cost right up front on the description page, no one would think it a disservice now.

I know of no other online retailer, at least not a major one, that puts shipping on the item page before you add it to your cart and or check out.  Not one I shop with, and I shop at many different retail sites.

I, too, wish they would restore the shipping cost information in the item listings; as I've posted before, I don't really think they're trying to hide it—since it is listed for every item in the app, I'm still guessing there is some glitch with the website coding they aren't bothering to fix. (Shocking, I know.)

@Caaareful Shopper - I agree with you in principle, but since QVC charges a predetermined flat rate for each item based on that item, not on buyer location (with the exception of Alaska and Hawaii) or anything else now that they don't combine shipping, there's no reason they couldn't/shouldn't list the cost as they have in the past. If they removed the shipping cost information from the app, I would think this was some kind of new strategy, but I truly think they just don't care enough or perhaps aren't bothering to prioritize any resources to correct the problem.

@loriqvc - I absolutely agree.  They're just not bothered enough to fix it.

Other retailers charge a shipping fee on the total, calculate it based on where it's being shipped to, or offer free shipping over a certain amount.

QVC charges per item.  So there is no reason whatsoever for them to have removed it from the item listing.

It's annoying to have to put something in your cart and go to checkout to find out what the S&H fee is.  Then, of course, you get the "Wait! You left xxxxx behind!  We've saved it in your cart!" emails.

But maybe they've got a BIG surprise for us and are finally going to go to calculating S&H based on your order total!!!  Wouldn't that be interesting?

(Nope, don't think that's ever going to happen.)

@Caaareful Shopper, the most  major retails I deal with let me know up front that I can receive free shipping just because they have my email address, or I'll get free shipping after meeting a minimum amount. One retailer I deal with tells me their flat rate is $6.95 if I don't I reach their minimum. I find many are more transparent than having to go to checkout before seeing what the cost is for each individual item.

There is no valid reason for the shipping charge to no longer be visible on the website, except for the reason that that's the way they now want it. Not customer friendly in my book.

I don't think so, I have already signed in and my info is showing.
