Re: Why order from QVC anymore?

[ Edited ]

I enjoy watching the decor item presentations on QVC, especially for fall and Christmas.

I find the vendor presentations very useful to help detemine if I like the sise or the color or the features of something before purchasing.

I also appreciate the effort that the vendors put into presenting their items in coordinated displays, to give an idea how things may be best displayed, or how to mix-and-match, or what it really takes to make that table setting look gorgeous, or even just simple and pleasing.

Of course, I am largely describing Valerie Parr Hill, but also Janine Graff, Martha Stewart, Mackenzie-Childs, and to an extent Bethehem Lighting and Home Reflections.

I find the creativity I enjoy by adapting these kinds of shows and presentations to what I like and how my home or garden look.

It's also really nice to have items bought several years ago still be fresh and new by adding some new color or theme.   Makes me a loyal customer.

Why order from QVC anymore?

* QVC has brands that i like at prices i can afford.

* Very convenient.

* I like getting information about what i am purchasing and i can get that from the item page, the video, the social media pages, and sometimes even from the vendor directly.

*its been a tried and true shopping experience for me for 36+ years. i am a regular QVC shopper....numerous times a month.

*good shipping times, good return policies, and easy returns. i especially love their holiday return policy.

* easy to ship gifts to others.

there are probably more reasons if i really sit and think about it, but those are off of the top of my head. qvc isnt the only place i shop, but it is one of my favorite places to shop.

Re: Why order from QVC anymore?

If I had a nickel for every single time this was posted over and over again,

I could buy myself an island and all the KG clothing I wanted!!!

"I don't buy a lot from Q because Ican find everything I want elsewhere with real promo codes, made of fabrics I prefer, and for lower prices, free shipping and free returns."

Same lines, same speel!  I can't imagine coming to these boards multiple times per day just to say the same thing!!!

If QVC is SO bad, why be here?? (yes, we can all be here...it was a rhetorical question)  Just seems like a waste of energy to post on a site for a vendor you hate everything about!  It isn't going to change anyone's mind.

Re: Why order from QVC anymore?

I rarely order from Q anymore unless it's something I can't get anywhere else. I ordered some LG foundation and because I was completely out and didn't realize the compact was down to the tile. I had to pay $5.50 for shipping which is exorbitant. I never got a confirmation email, never notified it was shipped and could not get any status when I went to my account. It finally showed up 12 days later; the tracking info stayed the same for 12 days. I will never ever pay for shipping again. I also needed some highlighter as mine broke into pieces so fortunately it was free shipping on beauty that day....placed the order and then found my backup one in my stash...called immediately to cancel and they said it had already been shipped so can't cancel. Shipped 10 minutes after it was ordered? Really? Then I get an email saying it was being processed....not shipped yet...as a customer, I resent being treated like this! Also, why do I have to reset my password every single time I try to log in?

Quality has gone downhill, prices are high and shipping is a joke.  Having to pay shipping and handling for each item even when ordering several of the same item?  Who does that?  The sizes are inconsistent now.  Used to know my size with D&Co and now it's hit and miss.  Returns are not handled promptly and getting the money back takes too much time.   I had to call to get my money back.  Many items are available much cheaper someplace else even when on sale on QVC.  Shipping is free with a certain Dollar amount at other companies so are returns.  I have been a long time customer and used to love QVC.  Now my last order probably was my last order!

Yeah why
Why do people pay these exorbitant prices for no nothing quality and self fulfilled brands?

It’s easy?
They’re bored?
They’re hoarders or shop a phonics who don’t have to leave their houses?

It’s definitely seems like a club an addiction or a wacky way to waste money

Re: Why order from QVC anymore?

A simple answer to the question: I shop QVC for convenience. I hate going to B&M stores, mostly malls in my area. I’ve had no problem with quality & more choices than in stores. I only buy certain brand like Belle, Susan Graver wovens, Sketchers, Clark’s, Miz Mooz & occasionally D&C. I do shop online at JJill, Chicos, Nordstrom for special items & Soft Surroundings.

I don’t mind S&H charges as other vendors charge much higher & I can count on one hand the number of my returns. I don’t need anything in a hurry & have no issue with delivery times.

I’m satisfied with QVC.
