I shop QVC and HSN for the same reasons many here have stated. I rarely, if ever, buy anything from ANYWHERE at full price. I find TSV's, As Is, and some of QVC's deals a great price for me. I really don't like shopping locally. I hate trying on clothes and I don't like sifting through items.
But one of the reasons is convenience. If I need a specific colored item in my size I can wheedle down my searches to only bring up items I am interested in. You can't do that at brick n mortar stores.
I also agree, $3.50 is minimal to pay for shipping. Not only would I have to pay for gas to shop locally but my time is valuable. I have never had issues with QVC in 38 years that couldn't be taken care of to my satisfaction.

@cjm61, the cost of gas and parking really are factors for some people. Not all places have public transportation that is affordable for them. QVC is a great help to lots of people.

@geezerette @Shelbelle Ya'll must not have discovered Amazon's overstock/discount warehouse website.

@TW wrote:Quality has gone downhill, prices are high and shipping is a joke. Having to pay shipping and handling for each item even when ordering several of the same item? Who does that? The sizes are inconsistent now. Used to know my size with D&Co and now it's hit and miss. Returns are not handled promptly and getting the money back takes too much time. I had to call to get my money back. Many items are available much cheaper someplace else even when on sale on QVC. Shipping is free with a certain Dollar amount at other companies so are returns. I have been a long time customer and used to love QVC. Now my last order probably was my last order!
Clearly QVC doesn't work for you any longer and you are departing.
No issues mostly for me, just longer shipping than I'd like but usually they are items I can't find elsewhere.

I love QVC. I shop here all the time. I do most of my shopping online. Amazon, Sephora, Nordstroms, Dillards etc. I rarely have a problem.
I don't enjoy walking around the mall after finding a parking space, and figuring out where I want to go. I will buy at the Home Goods store because it is so close to my house, and work.
Online shopping including the Q is a convenience....even if I have to bag it up and return it. It is not an issue for me. I do make a lot of returns.... still not a problem for me. Rarely do I have problems with a return.
I don't even have problems with the hosts..except for one. I just turn her off.
You sound like you have had enough. Maybe time to move on from the Q.

I agree with everything you say. Plus, their website is awful lately. I was trying to order a VPH item DURING the presentation but it was nowhere to be found under Item on Air (which actually used to have the item that was on the air), or Items recently On Air, or by its product number. I kept trying and JUST at the time it sold out, it showed up. And losing an item in your cart while you are just trying to watch the entire 7 min. presentation is infuriating too. My guess is they want to end up being only on Tik Tok, and don't really care so much about tv veiwers.

It seems there are a lot of people with discretionary income here so for them QVC is not a problem and maybe comfortable ordering from something familiar and no need to find other prices.
There are so many reasons some keep buying from here and so many reasons a lot don't.
Mostly, you have to have that $ to keep shopping and shopping for things that are not especially needs. Maybe more like an enjoyment. Maybe being a shopaholic or hoarder may come into it as we've heard those stories at times too.
For me, I agree QVC used to be so enjoyable. I used to buy much more and watch a lot. Now maybe I'll buy something 6-10 times a year but I'm not right now for many of the reasons the op stated.

I used to shop and buy from QVC all the time. Spent thousands of dollars over the years on all kinds of products. I loved most of what I bought. Over time, I watched less and bought fewer things. I think the novelty and idea of TV shopping wore off for me. I rarely watch QVC live anymore, but I still check their website and order a few times a year.

I love shopping here, rarely return, and shipping time is not an issue for me. There's nothing I order here that I must have in a few days. I also shop at Amazon and other retailers.
