I have had the same experience, and I think if people were honest, and paying close attention, they would have to admit there is some pilling and shedding with those polar fleece sheets. My mom has them and has the same thing. Some are worse than others, but they all do it to some extent. 

 

They are really soft, though!

I hope they bring them back. I love mine and will need a different size when I get a new bed.
