I asked for a "Music" forum the other day and was advised by another poster to forget about it, as it has been requested many times before and never added.
Frankly, I don't understand why you would have "TV and Movies," and "Book Club," yet no "Music." These are three completely different categories.
Many of us are music lovers. I think it would be an active forum. Please re-think this.

Sounds like a good idea. By the way, if any of you are a fan of Muse, they just released a new single, Dig Down. It has the usual Muse sound with the addition of a kind of gospel feel.

Maybe they ought to just have an "entertainment" forum.

I asked for one last Sep. had to wait a month. Told they'd meet on it. If they did, I guess the answer was no.
So now if I want to discuss music I just write Music: blah blah blah. It would be nice since I see no way it could turn ugly. (Famous last words!)

In the recent thread about moving threads to their "appropriate" forums, many people complained that there were too many forums, some not much visited, already. In the sense of the long list at the side of the page, I agree with that.
I'm assuming it's either beyond the capabilities of the current cheap prefab Lithium software package they use, or they most likely just wouldn't want to do the work, but I think subforums would fix things nicely. For example:
HOBBIES AND INTERESTS
Cooking/Recipes
Gardening
Photography
Travel
Pets
Home Decorating
Holidays
Collecting
ENTERTAINMENT
TV and Movies
Book Club
Music
All that would show on the main page would be the two main categories, and once you clicked on that you would get a drop-down menu with the other listings. I think that's already how My Favorite Brand works?
It would keep Page 1 of the forum listings short & sweet, but there could be many specific subforums within.

Well, "My Favorite Brand" submenus work for the Q, while "Music" does nothing for them. But I like your suggestion and it seems to me it would be a no brainer to add if they had a mind to . . . which obviously they don't.

I would enjoy a Photography forum, or even an ongoing Photography thread, but I haven't mentioned it in the forums because in the age of camera phones, I suspect not that many people under a certain age even own an actual camera, and only 3-4 people might ever contribute; I don't suppose that's enough to bother with. Currently, photography threads end up in Electronics 😜 There's nowhere it would "fit" currently.
I wouldn't want a thread where I was the only contributor, I'd want to see other peoples' photos as well. And I'm not interested in creating a thread or forum where people post cute, silly, or pretty photos they got from the internet. There's nothing wrong with them and I enjoy them too - but IMO being interested in photography means you take the photos yourself - a separate subject than internet photos.
But as I said - most likely no interest :-(
