Just goes to show you a little something about Pat. She is always pushing the Q card thing too.
Well, if Pat is pushing the Q card thing, you can be sure it's because the people behind the camera are whispering it in her ear.
The Q card is a profit center for the company, not the hosts.
I don't understand what you mean by "a little something about Pat".

In my experience it was Le Creuset. I was in a kitchen store looking at a piece years ago. I was surprised at the inexpensive price, and commented to the SA. She said something like it was because it was made in China.
Oh, but I knew better- LOL! I told her it wasn't possible because ALL Le Creuset was made in France. She told me not anymore. She, of course, was right.
When I started shopping here I quickly learned "imported" meant "made in China."
That didn't bother me. As much as I prefer items being made elsewhere (for my own reasons), try to buy necessary items that aren't made in China.

This is not unusual at all.
They "hide" everything that makes sales better. For instance, They won't tell you what the fabric is, if fabric that is cheap. They won't tell if they don't have Petite's, so shorty's will buy Regular. It goes on and on.
Most people aren't going online to search out everything: they want it and don't want to miss out and buy right away!

Vendors and companies hide COO because of the useless drivel and misguided hate about imports.
If we want other countries to buy from us, we have to buy from them.
Tariffs are a tax on consumers. Importers pay it and the cost is passed from buyer to buyer until consumers pay it at checkout.
@CalminHeart I for one do look, and it does matter. I don't care what other do, but for me I choose clothes made in USA. I have brands I buy from. Designed, sewn and everything here in California some other places in US. To me it's important because it supports families and people living here in the US. If there weren't any options made here, then I would buy elsewhere. No shame in that. But there are for me.
even on Etsy they just skirt much of the tarrffs . They send overseas to to person in US then that person sends to us. Even Etsy is suppose to be artisan , handmade. But 90% of jewelry is made commercially overseas and shipped here.
i just assume if QVC does not list COO, it is not made here, none of it has really since 2002 So it's a pretty good guess it comes from overseas

They kept flashing a card up on the screen kind of like a romance card. I finally focused on the bottom of the card and it stated the stone was heat treated. I am sure they did it to legally inform the customers w/o actually saying the stone was heat treated. I thought at the time it was a sneeky dishonest thing to do.
@U of M Go Blue what does heat treated mean? Thanks

With the prices of MacKenzie-Childs products, I would hesitate to buy if I knew they were made in a country that has cheap labor. I bought a salt & pepper set from LeCrueset once that was around $80. I figured if it was their brand, the quality would be high. After the pepper grinder broke before a year was up, I discovered they were made in China. I've learned to find out exactly where a product is made before purchasing, I can't rely on a brand any longer.

Really?
It's part of the hosts' jobs to create an urgency and make you want to purchase immediately. Apparently, people fall for that one frequently.
Even if it "seems" like the best thing ever, it's up to the consumer to check the item online.
Personally, I'd never buy anything just from the host's presentation. More detailed information is online.
If you can't be bothered to get the facts before you spend your money, that's on you.

@Bookplate. Also, there is plain old prejudice against goods made in some countries. However, in my experience their goods are often superior.
If you feel this way, best to stay away from "imported" and do without.
Agree with you @Kachina624 .

Hi ! The gemstone gets heated to enhance the depth of the color. The heat treatment
is acceptable, but reputable sellers tell the customer the stone was heated. QVC did not state this....they just flashed this info card for a quick glance. It took several times for me to read.
