Why are 99% of the Irish sweaters cardigans????

I love the Irish sweaters brought in each year, but am really tired of cardigans. When they aren't cardigans, they have some weird funky neck style (giant cowl or asymmetrical shape) that I don't like. How about the good-old fisherman's knit crew neck? I would buy them elsewhere, but it is hard to beat the softness and price found here.
