Since everyone is making an attempt to reclassify threads from Fashion, why isn't there a Gili forum under My Fav Brand? Seems even more important since it is a Q house brand.

Re: Why Not a Gili Sub-forum?

All the subforums make no difference to me one way or the other but I'm wondering if they create so many sub-forums for everything, is anyone going to bother posting in the fashion forum anymore?

I'd hate to see everything so broken down that FF becomes a dead zone.

Re: Why Not a Gili Sub-forum?

@Lipstickdiva, I think my question was more rhetorical than anything. If other brands are getting pushed out of Fashion into subs, why not Gili? Is it implicit understanding that Gili will get more exposure under Fashion? Don't know!

Re: Why Not a Gili Sub-forum?

I just don't get all the sub-forums.  I remember before the board changed, some threads were absolutely taking over certain forums, like Wen in beauty so a Wen forum was created and then a bunch of other sub-forums but many of them were dead because posters continued to post about those categories in the regular forum.  Mods never did anything about moving them.

I just don't see the problem with someone posting about a fashion brand, in the fashion forum, regardless of what that fashion brand is.  I don't go to all the individual sub-forums.  And I don't want to either.  LOL

@Lipstickdiva I agree! It's a bad idea unless the purpose is to bury it.

Can't see the Favorite Brands from the main forum. A nice feature if you want to AVOID certain brands. I do find that to be beneficial-the avoidance of certain.brands & related chatter :-)

Lol it's not "everyone" just a few busybodies trying to run the forum. :-)

Looks like this is creating more drama & conflict. Do we really need to do that???

@Chi-town girl, chuckle! Sometimes I think conflict and drama are the lifeblood of a good forum, otherwise the "it's so boring here" posts come out. A little friction, properly used, can sometimes result in unique pearls.

Re: Why Not a Gili Sub-forum?

Well said, everyone.  (In this case, i'm using the term "everyone" to only apply to those who've already posted in this thread!)

In the "My Favorite Brand II" thread, bebe77 summarized a pretty good way to spread the subforums throughout the larger forums.  I think, if implemented, it would work well.  It seems to me the subforums weren't as well thought out as they could have been when first put into place, especially since they were never visible until you clicked on the header "My Favorite Brand."

Re: Why Not a Gili Sub-forum?

[ Edited ]

Moving all the LOGO threads to the sub forum where they are hidden/not visible to the main Fashion Forum is really unfortunate. Still SMH how this action was triggered. It does seem like some vendetta from one or several posters toward a fellow poster/the LOGO brand

i don't follow the brand closely nor watch the shows. @Pearley posts sold me on a few tops and kept me apprised of special buys.

This will result in some lost sales for Q. I rarely look or participate in the sub forums. Not going hunting for updates.

How ridiculous is it now for Q to have competitors brands/labels promenently featured/discussed in the Fashion forum and Q brands hidden?
