Probably also true. While I don't think free shipping was the 'cause' of the sell outs, it surely didn't hurt... I too think they had limited quantities and also think that QVC customers are so starved for new and different brands and products that those too were big factors in making this initial offering a success.

If you're paying $300 for a Dooney that you love... odds are, it's going to ship free from just about everywhere but here... 

Why should they do it? Because financial reports indicate handbags sales are down. If they want to compete then, well, they need to compete across the board, including shipping...

Question for Moderators: There are at least two handbags (posted below) where the shipping & handling is still in effect at $10.47 -- do you know if this will be fixed today so orders can be made with the free shipping & handling? Thank you in advance for checking on this!

QVC is the only place I know that charges shipping on Dooney handbags.  That's why I order from Dooney, or Macy's.  The bags sell for the exact same price at all of them, except Dooney and Macy's will have occasional sales.  The shipping is just QVC's way to rob you a bit.
