Why are people so nasty? What good does it do to say ugly things about someone? Do the upper management at QVC actually say "oh no, Suzy Homemaker doesn't like the way our host is selling things. Tell them to sell it like Suzy Homemaker wants". I truly don't think so.
So to get to my point. Many nasty things were said about Isaac last evening. The mod stepped in and closed the thread and DELETED all the posts. They added the sentence "unkind to our vendor".
On another thread many nasty things were said about Sharon. The mod stepped in and closed the tread BUT DID NOT DELETE all the posts.
My question is why?
@hellodali. Regarding the Isaac thread. A certain poster who doesn't want any posts that are nasty, makes phone calls to corporate and tells them to have the thread deleted. I have seen it happen before. She always states in a post that she will be calling.
The thread was deleted shortly after she posted that.

@Lila4Now wrote:A thought comes to my mind? Who do these people run to in the real world with no moderators around? This is a forum, people will post things you don't agree with, but they have the right to their thoughts and opinions. Personally, I think too many threads are poofed, and closed. After all, we are adults. If you don't like what someone writes, just move on.
@hellodali Again I ask, how old are you???? Move on.

@hellodali From the way I understand things, this is an open forum. Anyone who joins may answer any question. It doesn't matter if you agree with/like what they say, or not. My suggestion would be; if things upset you so much, you should be the one to move on. One of the real jewels of any group are the different views from different people. The last I knew, this wasn't a forum segregated to only people who say things you agree with.

@hellodali - In one of your posts you wrote "I'm trying to figure out what the mods do besides moderate. Does anyone else know?" Moderating this forum is only part of their job responsibilities. Two things that I know the mods also do are monitoring QVC's Facebook page and providing direct customer service (here and on Facebook). They probably have other responsibilities too
When you perceive that the mods are not on-the-ball with shutting down "unkind" threads and posts, consider two things. 1) They are busy with something else. 2) What you feel is "mean" or "unkind" may not match what QVC does.
If you feel a post is unkind, you need to report it. The most efficient and effective way to do that is by clicking on the three dots in the upper right corner of the post then select "Report Inappropriate Content". If the reported post does violate board standards (which may be different than your personal feelings) the mods will delete it.

@DeniseColo. I agree with everything you said. You are right, I see them monitoring the Facebook pages and helping posters with their purchasing problems. If anyone thinks mods sit here all day and read every one of the posts on this forum, they are mistaken. It is not possible. That is why the report inappropriate button is there. Is someone is unhappy with a certain post or thread, report it and it will be reviewed.

I can't imagine accusing the moderators of favoritism in not removing certain posts without having reported something, and reporting it more than once if you feel it's appropriate. After that, if something isn't removed I would shrug and forget about it. It's QVC's decision, the moderators represent QVC in this, and things are not going to be seen each individual's way all the time.
But just expecting posts you don't like to be removed, without having reported it, on the assumption that the moderators do nothing all day except read every post? Bizarre.

What a rude and condescending post.
How old are you....8? Personally I'm embarrassed for YOU.
You just made her point. "no, I'm not!" "it's her fault!"
Come on. Be a grown-up. Report the posts about Sharon you think are mean or move on.

LOL, we used to tell complainers: Report, report, report, and if you're still not happy go somewhere else.
On other boards they rely on reports, as there is no way to read every single post. And I'm pretty sure no one is supporting themselves by being a mod.
Then there's multiple mods that have to go by judgement calls for preventative threads. Mods are not zombies, they don't all think alike. And no matter what you do, there will be complaints about it.
I'm not sure what they're always thinking in their modding, but seriously, it's a bulliton board, get over it.

This post has been removed by QVC because it is argumentative

This has been happening here for years. What you see about Sharon is nothing new. There have been hosts slammed here over the years and others who have had negative posts deleted almost immediately. That's just the way it's always been.
Someone upthread mentioned that a poster here frequently mentions that she's calling corporate when she wants threads deleted. I've seen those posts and it seems she's effective. Calling corporate may be a better place for you to get some answers than here in the forums @hellodali. They may not answer you either, but they can at least make an effort to mention your concerns to those who are in charge of the forums.
