What kind of a response is this from QVC?

I, like a lot of other ladies, wanted to know what top Antoinella Nester was wearing Sunday, July 14th.  It was absolutely gorgeous!  After looking everywhere on the boards and her Facebook posts, and finding nothing, I e-mailed QVC.

You would think it would be an easy matter for someone at QVC to contact Antoinella and ask her, right?  Obviously, no, because I got a short response back that said that information was unavailable at this time!

So much for trying to find out about an item one of the hosts was wearing!  It remains a secret.

I don't think there is anything wrong with their response.  How could they possibly know what every host wears on air?  There are many hosts on during every day and I don't think they write down what they are wearing on their time card.  To investigate that would take time and time costs money.I think you should write to Antonella on her Facebook page and see if she responds.  That is more likely to get you an answer than asking QVC workers

Sorry.  I don't believe the hosts are obligated to say what they're wearing. JMHO.  Can't imagine how customer service would know.

And if she did respond it would be a courtesy.  Even though she works on TV selling products, including clothes, I don’t think the hosts are obligated to divulge where they buy every item of their clothing.

However, I do think that when a host, or model, is wearing anything from QVC, there should be a designated place on their website to find out the item number.  No telling how many sales they miss when someone sees something they like that a host/model is wearing and can’t find the information about it anywhere.  It should also be easily available for the customer reps to find for those who call in rather than go online.

This is a great idea and the cost of hiring an employee with this job description would more than payoff in sales.....daily list of QVC clothing being worn on air as a routine featured item or, even more cost effective,  have the host clearly state when they wearing QVC clothing.  I don't think there is an obligation for the host to reveal where they are purchasing their clothing unless it is QVC....a personal choice.

@Tuffcookie.  To reply to all tbe "what was so and so wearing" posts would be a full-time position at QVC.  In the end, many things are bought at local B&M stores and the Q would end up advertising for them.  If you want info about a host, ask her on her Facebook page.  If I  was QVC, I'd handle it the same way.

I've heard Antonella state that some of her tops are Linea and Susan Graver.  i don't remember the other retailers. Hopefully, this will narrow down your search.

You could try asking her on her Facebook or Instagram page. I don't know what the response time is ---if any. Good Luck.

@phoenixbrdI suspect the company has already run the numbers so that they know the number of increased sales of items when the hosts wear them.  I fully understand some do want to know if a host is wearing QVC -  just don't know enough to say how they collect and disseminate that info to add to the bottom line.  Like it or not, there aren't many businesses that survive when they can't protect their bottom line.

@Tuffcookie - I don't find Q's response out of line. It's not their job to research what a particular host is wearing. You looked on Facebook - did you ask on her Facebook page what top she had on? Generally, the hosts wear their own clothing when doing a show - at least that is what I have found.
