Sandals in warm weather; wedges or heels in winter. I haven't owned boots in 20 years and don't intend to now.

Back in my college days (mid-60's) I wore heels almost daily, but didn't own any jeans.

Now I wear jeans almost daily, and don't own any heels.

I used to when I was younger. Now I try to avoid heels altogether. Forty-two years in retail has played hell on my feet and knees. I always say my foot doesn't bend that way anymore. Going to a wedding tomorrow, will wear a nice pair of low wedges with my dress. Love the look of a nice heel with jeans, just can't do it anymore. Can still do a chunky, lower heeled boot. Luckily, I'm 5'9" tall, so I don't need heels for height.
