I would love to see QVC add some sort of way to let someone who has an item on waitlist  know their position "in line" for that item.  I assume it's done on a first-reserved, first-sent out basis.

I bought the Isaac dress below in an XL and it was just too big, so I put the L on waitlist and am wondering how long do I need to wait? I have a cute pair of sandals I bought at the same time for just that dress and now wonder if I should give up and buy something else.

I've ordered many items on Waitlist and the majority were never received so I don't count on them.  But there have also been some exceptions that surprised me when they eventually did show up.  I always figure I have nothing to lose by trying for a Waitlist item since the worst that can happen is I just don't receive it, but I wouldn't plan an entire ensemble around a Waitlist item that might never arrive.  Good Luck.

Sometimes waitlist means you have to wait for a return from someone else that is going through the same situation.
It took 5 weeks one time when I sent my order back and someone sent their larger size back.

So the sooner you get yours back to them, the better chance...unless people who missed it when it was presented are on the list.

Theyre never going to do a position list. I think that would be extra tedious work.

you will probably have better luck if it says backordered.

Waitlist - QVC is requesting the manufacturer to produce more to fulfill the orders.

Backorder - an item will go to backorder because the inventory QVC was originally advised of was incorrect. QVC gives the manufacturer around two weeks to produce or obtain more.

This information is per @Beth-QVC.

@sunshine45

Thanks for posting the difference between the waitlist and backordered.

I decided to cancel my waitlist order and bought something else instead!

That is interesting. I recently was put on waitlist for tsv Vionic sandals. My color and size were sold out. About 4 weeks later they sent me a pair that I am 99% sure was a return. It had a random sticker on the box, not a Vionic sticker, and the tissue paper was not original; it was wrinkled. The sandals were fine but they were not fresh from the manufacturer.

Back years ago when l bought a lot of clothes from QVC , l often got waitlist orders that were returns . So obvious , wrinkles in tissue if wrapped , items not packaged neatly , they looked like some one ruffled through the whole thing . l once got a set that had 2 different sizes on the top and bottom !  l also got sets that the colors were off on the top and bottom . l imagine that they think you would be happy to get the item and won't complain .
