I have watched a few items offered on QVC that show they are on wait list only. They have been on wait list only for many months. I am not sure why these items are even available on wait list if they are never in stock. Hard to budget and buy with so much uncertainty.

I understand it's hard when you place an order not knowing when or if your credit card will be charged for it. One thing I will say is that I've chosen waitlist for quite a few items (mostly jewelry) over the years, when the item had sold out very quickly. There has never been a case where I have not eventually received the item.
The last waitlist item I really wanted (Ripka bracelet) and was not hopeful I'd get it. When the 40 days was up I got an email that they were extending it because they were expecting to get more. It had stayed on waitlist that whole 40 days too. Not too long after that, I got another email saying it was shipped. I received it and I love it.......it was worth the wait.

Sometimes, often in fact, items never come back in stock and arent re-ordered, but they are able to fill waitlist orders by getting more from the manufacturer or from returns. You can only be on waitlist 45 days after which time you're either dropped off the list or, in rare cases, the time period is extended slightly.
