Can't stand all the hugging and kissing that goes on between hosts and product person. They don't need to kiss. Turns me off.  I'm sure they have seen each other before presentation.

I find it unnecessary with the hosts as well as other tv personalities  Surely there are other more appropriate ways to address  vendors and/or guests.

Unless you're the person kissing or being kissed, I don't think you have a say in it.

The kissing I've seen is pretty harmless - cheeks side-by-side while they smooch the air.  It's the method used by cool people.

I agree.  It comes across as really phony.  It would be different if it was someone they had not seen in a long time.
