Re: Tired of this line of selling...

When they say, 'This is flying out of here,' they are using a metaphor and that is grammatically correct.  To say, 'This is literally flying out of here,' that is grammatically incorrect since an item, such as a pair of shoes, cannot 'fly.'  I once heard Alberti say, 'When we found out____insert product was in our show, we literally jumped through the ceiling.'  I'd pay serious money to see that.

Literally is the new "it" word. You see, if you insert literally in front of every verb, it sounds more convincing.

Proper grammar is what's flying out of there. Woman Frustrated

I don’t watch QVC anymore. It is like watching a rerun over and over again. I use the app or go online. Once in a while I might listen to a product video but there is no way that I could sit and watch this channel for any length of time especially since their clothing has become nothing but synthetic fabrics and some of the ugliest styles I have ever seen. I could go to Walmart for that.

It is kinda annoying, especially when they go too far with it. Ex.--back when the TSV was that ugly chenille shawl, hosts were saying you could wear it out to dinner and even to the opera!  SMH at that one. LOL

The TSV is on just about every show if it's not selling.  The hosts lie because everything is their favorite.  I love when they model clothes you know they would never wear in public. Especially CK. Just look at her instagram, probably all Dillards & Bloomingdales.

@bells4me

I have wondered about that line that most of the hosts use "I have this in my _______

and use it every day. It's the only brand I use"

I thought of creating a sound bite each time they did that with let's say the blenders. I'd record them with VitaMix, Ninja, KitchenAid, whatever other blender that said host is selling. Then at the end will be the host, with the vendor and their comment of "This is what I have in my _________, and the one I use every day. Obviously all different brands.

also, can you tell I've put too much thought into this 🤣🤣 Seriously tho, if they really had every single item ever sold, some in multiples for daughters, mothers, crossing guards, trash picker upper, landscaper, bank teller, ex you hates mother, kindergarten teacher but now you're 60yrs old...

I'll stop now 🤣🤣🤣
