Hordes of postings have been "moved" because their content has been deemed unflattering to a certain personality. Some of those posts have indeed been sharp, some unreasonably derogatory. However, when the numbers of complaints about a single personality's performance rise , when there have so many poofs that the posters as a whole know they must censor their own comments , the possibility that there is credence to those objections should be considered.
If there is real concern for the customers' views shouldn't Administration at least be made aware of the sheer number of negative postings about that personality?
I am not opposed to monitoring content . I am, rather, grateful for the elimination of hostility, malice wherever possible, recogniazing of course that this is not a free society but QVC's site, their rules. But when the overwhelming majority of posters feel offended by one person's on air behavior shouldn't Administration/"Corporate" be made aware of those statistics ?

It is also possible that a lot of viewers like the personalities that u mention and just haven't said so in the forum.

I agree with the OP's statements. Am not exactly sure "whom" the person she is referring to in her thread, but I have two names in mind. One is a host, on all the time and the other is a vendor, on all the time. Neither one presents in an enjoyable, captivating, professional style. I will not watch either one and so am cutting way down on view time of the Q channel. I would think that someone (managers/administrators of the Q channel) should be paying attention to the viewers' feedback...
unless it really is all about money!!

You're right, of course, but we'll never know where the contributors stand will we, precisely because the objectionable posts are re"moved" forthwith. Since the behavior that prompted this posting is so abhorent I seriously doubt that a poll would find "us" supportive of the behaviour of the personalities concerned.

I think that they're sending the message that they won't kill the messenger, when the posts are worded in a way that is universally considered politely written. Try and get good at that. ![]()

If discussing inappropriate behavior by an "on air" personality is considered unkind, please provide us with a name and address of a Q executive to whom we can complain. Do not refer us to customer service and their big, round "File 13". We want a specific individual.

"Hordes of postings"?? "The sheer number of negative postings", " The overwhelming majority off posters?
From what I've seen, these statements all sound like gross exaggerations. Can you provide any kind of actual statistics?
It's common for someone who dislikes a Host, to start a thread, then, some like minded posters, jump in. Sometimes defenders contribute, but, I suspect, often, people who don't share the negativity, just pass on by, and don't bother commenting.
I have never ever seen anything to constitute Hordes, sheer numbers, or, overwhelming majority. I'm sure most of us realize that, every person on the forums, could post negatively; it would still be a drop in the bucket of total viewers.
When people say corporate doesn't pay attention, which opinions should they pay attention to? The negative or the positive?

Tbe problem with the OP's premise (and those in agreement with her) is the assumption that the views of the people on this forum represent QVC shoppers. They do not.
Only a very tiny percentage of Q VC shoppers post on the forums, and while a handful of people may not like the actions of a certain host, these views are utterly meaningless when the host is able to sell large quantities of product.
It is the ob of the host to sell items, and if she is sucdssful, QVC has no reason to change things. They are there to do a job, and that job is not to entertain us, please us or make us feel good. Again, thousands of sales versus the rantings and complaints of a handful of people -- many of whom say they rarely purchase items.
If I were QVC, I know what would matter to me. I also know if I find a host unlikeable, I cn simply change the channel -- it is far more effective than whining about it.

The "hordes" of postings are made by the same few tiny minority that seem to passionately dislike certain hosts and would complain about anything and everything these hosts say and do!! I also believe that sales numbers speak volumes and that the larger percentage of those who do not have these complaints are never seen in print here!!

Are these "people" bringing in the money? If so, nothing will change. EVER.
