Must we be subjected to 20-30 minutes of the TSV?  It doesn't matter what it is, that is way too much time per hour to devote to one product.  Shows that are 2-3 hours hardly have time to show anything else.  Ten minutes per hour would be plenty.  When I see a TSV I flip the channel and rarely go back.

Don't subject yourself.  You're in control of what you watch.  The TSV always airs throughout the day and more frequent than anything else.  That's the way it is, and it's always been that way.

I've always know the TSVs to appear frequently throughout the day.  However, it seems to me that these exceedlingly long presentations are fairly recent (past year or so?).  I can't believe they can't say what they have to in 10 minutes.  But what do I know!!!!Woman Embarassed

This argument appears as many times as a TSV does!

I pretty much assume that the computer is running a tally as they speak, and the folks at QVC or HSN (which I find far worse) could tell us right down to a few minute interval how many TSV's are being sold.  They're paying big bucks for their TV time --  they know many of us drift away--my attention span for the TSV probably rivals that of a 2 year old with cooked carrots in front of him.

Still - lots of times I tune into QVC for the first time late in the day - and no sales of the TSV aren't over.  The other day, David sold thouands and thousands of the TSV during prime time no less.  Not only are people watching then, but they are also finally making the decidion to buy o like me, seeing the TSV for the first time.

Maybe the repetition is not so much fun for those who watch all day long, but it sure works to sell product - and for two-minute viewers like me, the producers are hoping that during at least one of those 2 minute segments, maybe I'll buy something.

I like the garden shows, but today has been such that I have yet to see the TSV and it's already time to leave here and go watch the evening news.  Later for that TSV -- and I have no idea what it is.

The OP said she flips the channel so she doesn't subject herself.  Also it hasn't always been that way.  Until recently, they limited the TSV to about 10 minutes in an hour so it was bearable.  Now they are getting to be more like HSN.  QVC might want to know that this change in policy is driving viewers away.  On the other hand, they just might be getting more sales this way.  Who knows?

For the life of me, I will never understand why we need a full hour on any vacuum!  Are there that many people out there that don't know what to do with one?  After a while, it just becomes an insult to the viewer.  We are not that stupid, 10 min. is plenty long,
