I don't think the Q realizes how many people they lose by having these over and over and (well you get it) demonstrations so often.

I know they're trying to catch the channel surfers...I channel surf (often watch several shows at once...short attention span).  However (speaking for myself not other channel surfers) I will tell you that the short attention span I spoke about also gets very upset at the idea of watching why I need this frying pan for more than a few minutes demonstration, then I don't want to come back to see what else is offered.  It's so freaking boring I could scream (sorry)!

I remember the old days of the Q.  You presented it (and was actually more informative, as someone mentioned) then you moved on.  It wasn't about every 20 minutes.  I feel sorry for your poor hosts.  I've watched them put on a 1 hour of demonstration of why I need to buy a frying pan (sorry to use this so much but it demonstrates my point) then when the hour is up Carolyn Gracie (poor woman) had to immediately go back and for the first few minutes of the next hour (which she now also hosted) had to tell me again about this wonderful frying pan.  Needless to say, I was gone for good that day.

You don't have much variety (like you used to anyway) now add those long infomercials, just chain me up!  Good grief!

On a positive note (Beth at the Q this hug is for you) the Q is a welcome intervention during this political atmosphere (please don't dump me for saying political).  I'm sooo tired.  Can you imagine what it's like living minutes, minutes from Washington, DC?  Yes!  It's that bad and more.  We can be out on the street and run into Newt Gingrich, do we talk?  Heck no!  Just had to watch him on TV....the joy of watching QVC is mindless (unless I need a frying pan then I pay attention).  Thanks!

I do not watch QVC 24/7.  In fact....hardly ever watch at all.  I do check in every so often -- while watching other TV stations.  Yesterday, every time I clicked into the Q, the TSV was being presented!!  I have been watching the Q for over 20 years. Overkill of TSV presentations was never an issue then!!  Talk about boring TV!!!

I always feel sorry for the vendor...that person has a 24 hour day..and he/she has to make the TSV  seem like its something we need to purchase....

To spend an hour talking about a tree...a mattress..a pillow..etc etc...repeating themselves over and over...all day long...is beyond me....how they can do it...

I felt so bad for Chad...not only did he have to sell the tree...he had other things he had to sell...was it necessary to have him on the last hour of the day...right to midnight...how tired he must have been...

I worry about when these vendors drive home after their 24 hour day....

I'd like to merge the comments from @KYToby and @QVCkitty1.
I watch to learn more about a product I'm considering laying out money for, and I don't want to return anything. When I look up the item online there's often loads of information that isn't in the on-air presentation. If they're going to go for an hour, I'd like to hear more detailed information and see more lingering closeups.
But If I know I'm not going to buy today's item I certainly don't resent them presenting it to other viewers. I DO know how to both change the channel AND find my way back.

Gotta hand it to ya....always on the job defending TV shopping hosts anytime day or night....7 days a week....  never sleeps always on the watch to defend a helpless and hapless host......

As a QVC Shopper you expect to see the TSV in 99% of the shows (although I haven't yet seen an Air Fryer during a fashion show but I wouldn't put it past QVC for sometime in the near future....ya just never know)....However, the TSV presentations are overly long and the first demo takes up a good part of the show  AND (here's the "fun" part) we are now "treated" to an encore performance which is just as long.....since I got tired of seeing a repeat performance I just change the channel and definitely do NOT switch it back to QVC-------

In other words:

Less viewing = less QVC purchase$.....and less $$$$ for QVC......

@circles

I don't know how some of these vendors do it either CIRCLES......

There was one TSV presentation that was so long....and you could tell both the host and vendor were running out of things to say----- so they kept doing the colors over and over....and the host finally said...."we've done the colors so often the audience now knows the colors better than us and can repeat it along with us"....LOL!!!

Not just defending hosts, but justifying everything associated with QVC !!!  It is amazing!!  Everytime I see a post relating viewers' dissatisfaction...I expect KYToby to chime in!!  Wonder why so defensive and protective???

On today's Air Fryer, they showed the exact same recipes every time I caught it.  On an item like that they could at the very least cook different things each show!  Still, people aren't that dim, less yum-yum faces from the hosts, and more product info.  David wastes a good portion of presentations just showing colors.
