@TuckerMom  Her name is Beth.  If you look closely, the hat is a Santa hat.  I like Beth, but I don't think I would have worn that.

I think Beth is lovely!  She is talented and pretty. What's wrong with having a little fun wearing the hat?

My impression was that Beth's hat was intended to be inspired by the traditional idea of a "Pilgrim Hat."  You can see the buckle in front.  I think it's a stylized Pilgrim Hat.

In any event, it's cute, fun and very festive;  it's a holiday!

About that hat....

I have one that I wear at Christmas time as part of our cart parade festivities.  The buckle to me represents Santa's belt.
