Hi,
The posters here have no control or input regarding their status, like honored or respected. It's according to whatever the QVC forum software determines. I can tell you that when my number of posts recently exceeded 2000, my status changed. So I can guess that the ranking changes by the number of posts. We can't say for sure because it's a QVC software program thing.
I sort of remember your post mentioning the hosts and their backgrounds but I don't remember exactly what it was about. Maybe that they are not fashion designers? Not sure.
The hosts have their own sort of style when they are on TV. I can't say if it is for real, or how they dress on TV is to portray a specific character, like your best friend, your cool sister or aunt, your loving mother, your darling daughter, etc., to make you feel comfortable, someone you can relate to, to encourage you to spend. There are a few hosts that resemble how I dress in real life, and some, no way. So I would say that the Studio Park line represents the fashion style of the host. Personally, the only Studio Park line I liked so far was Leah's.
Hope that answers your questions. Have a great day.

1) Along with replies on your thread from Honored and Super contributors, you received a couple of responses from newer contributors including one who only had eight posts.
2) Fellow posters here can't tell you why your post was taken down because we didn't take it down. The moderators removed it. So pose the question to them if you dare or care to...send private email to social.team@qvc.com. The best guess is your post fell into the category of unkind to the host. Those never fly here and are taken down on a regular basis. It happens to the best of us. ![]()
3) My understanding is that the status/level (whatever you want to call it) of posters here is based on the number of posts they have. And the number of hearts their posts have been given may play a part, as well. There have been numerous threads in the long ago past trying to figure out just how it works. I don't think anyone knows for sure...not even QVC. Ha! But none the less, it's their board, their game, their rankings, their rules.
4) The Studio Park line obviously is just another way QVC is trying to market and sell apparel...mystery solved. If you like a certain host and their style maybe you will buy items they helped design come up with. If you don't like the concept, lump it. Who cares!
5) Lastly, and another obvious one, this is an anonymous board. You asked, "Who are you?" The same can be asked right back at you, @Daffney. The people here are only who they tell you they are and we all know that can be the truth or fiction or somewhere in between. Again, if you don't like this aspect of the forums, lump it and move on someplace else. No need for snarkasm.

What was your question???

Well, @Daffney, questioning things about hosts may get you in hot water here, not only with moderators, but also with some members who like those hosts.
It's possible some hosts read our comments and QVC doesn't want them to see negative discussions concerning them.
Unfortunately, some newer members (me a little over 2 years) learned the policies by seeing what was removed, from other members, etc, because QVC's policies were not available on the left under Standards for awhile. I gave up looking for them. I just looked the other day to see them there when one of my threads was removed for the reason why. I thought I had followed all the rules.
If I understand correctly, you wanted to know how QVC determines who is an Honored or Super Contributor, I don't know. It appears to be about how many posts a member made on the Forum.
I haven't tried anything in the Studio Park line, so I don't know anything about it.
Anyway, welcome to the Forum.

@Daffney The titles you see under peoples' names are meaningless and apparently came with a software package. We've never seen then defined and generally ignore them. They seem to roughly correlate with the number of posts written.
We, who participate here, are customers only. Management is not represented and doesn't participte. So we are not in a position to answer questions pertaining to the original purpose of the Studio Park Collection.
It seems most hosts took items they liked that they owned and with the help of QVC buyers and designers, they were copied and probably modified. The hosts are not designers and are not qualified to independently create new styles without professional help.
Any other questions?

Gosh, this board is just a way for shoppers to share messages, tips, and opinions. Originally there was a lot more discussion about QVC products--now there are all kinds of topics! I shopped QVC for decades before I even bothered once to look at any of these comments.
Now in life I am not as busy, so I have more time to "waste" on online efforts, because it can be fun to share.
My understanding is that both the number of posts and possibly hearts received gives you your forums' status (by the computer?). We also receive a separate status for the number of reviews we write on purchased products.
I think it is great that all the QVC hosts who want to can dip their toes into exploring fashion design--why not? They sell clothes every day so certainly they have some ideas! I will say I am more of a traditionalist, so I do not wear too much trendy stuff like some of the Studio Park Line showcases.
I also think it is rude to say unkind things about hosts--until we have tried to do that job and be successful, we cannot judge. I, for one, could never sell vaccum cleaners, or food, or even make-up--nor do I watch any of those types of shows.
Yes, if you violate the rules of the boards you posts will be taken down and you could possibly be banned. This boards are a "free" service from QVC, and last year they were almost shut down permanently.
We want to enjoy sharing with each other and we do not need to have unpleasant elements ruin that opportunity. If you do not like the responses you receive here, find something else more meaningful in life to do.

i believe I will move on.
In the end, is it not just a group of anonymous
persons venting under supervision?
To each his own.

Some posters are so entertaining.

I encourage you to read the hosts' bios...backgrounds in theatre, broadcasting, and psycology. I did not even state this; I only referred to the bios.
Is stating an opinion a red flag?
If so, what is the purpose?

So does it mean we shouldn't take you at your word?
