@mosky . Sorry but freedom of speech does not apply here.
@proudlyfromNJ With that poster's last line, it looks like they only wanted to bait posters into arguing. It was so far off the course of the topic.

Reviews should be an examination or assessment based on the actual receipt and use of the item.
Conversely, I've seen some "reviews" about an article of clothing, based on the fact that the vendor is "trustworthy." That's it -- 5 stars. So tell me how in the world does that help a prospective customer with that item? "Trustworthy" describes the sales pitch, not the actual item at all.

Thank you! It is amazing how often that is thrown around!

If you've ever written and submitted a review, you know that before a review is allowed to be posted, it supposedly goes to a reviewer. It is never posted immediately, @Bri369
One would think that as part of the approval process, the review would be read for accuracy.
Of course I've written reviews. A reviewer doesn't check for accuracy. They check to see if the review has met their guidelines.
I stand by my statement that it's a valid review.
We know what OUR guidelines are; we don't know what THEIR guidelines are.

It doesn't go to a reviewer. A third party computer system handles these, not Q. This is true for reviews at a lot of retailer sites.

That is exactly what I mean by a "reviewer," i.e., someone who looks at a purchaser's written review before it is posted to the QVC site under whichever item the purchaser wrote the review for.
It should not matter whether it is a QVC employee or a third party who is part of that process. That part makes no difference. Whoever is making the decision to post should have all the facts.
We don't know what their guidelines are, we only know what our guidelines are.

ITA. I have another great example of useless reviews
During the last Bare Essentials TSV, there were a ton of negative review solely based on the color choices offered. That has nothing to do with how the product performed and obviously those reviewers did not have the product either. Those type of reviews just shouldn't be allowed. If you did not buy and receive the product you shouldn't be allowed to review. I don't care if you purchased the product from QVC or not but you at least should have and used/tried the product you are reviewing.
On a side note if anyone is interested in Skinny Tees, they are the on GMA deals every other month it seems. Thats where I have gotten all of mine.
