I watched the entire presentation of the TSV (Halston) last night and not once did Sandra mention what sizes the models were wearing. This was mentioned in another post on another forum but I wanted to also talk about it here hoping the monitors will read it. The size chart gives us an approximation of how something will fit. I have returned a ton of clothing because the size chart was totally off the chart and the clothing was either too small or too large. Why don't the hosts mention what sizes the models are wearing? Most of them are put into sizes that are too small but I can get a better idea of how something will look on me if I know what size the model is wearing. Carolyn is fantastic about this, she always mentions what size the models wear and it is a great help. Please, please tell us what size they are wearing it will save a lot of us a ton of money, time and frustration of constantly seninding things back.

I agree with the OP. I does help me because if they wear their regular sizes I can see if it runs large or small. I also like very close ups so I can see the gauge of the knit.
It's difficult enough to order from a TV. Every consideration should be given to the viewer so he/she can decide for herself if the clothing would 'work' for her.
I've noticed several times (Jane was kind enough to point it out) that the sleeves on Cuddle Duds (I think that was it) ran tight. Based on that, I sized up (I have chubby upper arms).
I don't order a lot of long sleeve clothes from QVC because the sleeves are WAY WAY too long (it's crazy). But that's not the issue here.
I also agree that sometimes (I'd argue perhaps more often these days) the charts shown are way off. It's often hit or miss.
I'd like to see more close ups on the garment/material. I can't understand why it's so important to constantly see the models and the host. After all, it's the garment or product they are selling, not the models. Show them but also spend time on the garment.

I like the Halston TSV. I ordered black, bordeaux, and olive. Based on the size chart and how it looked on Jessica the model with red hair, I ordered XL. I am tall and don't like things too long and it looked nice on her. They didn't say what size she was wearing though. Based on past experience, I'd say there is a 75% chance I will need to exchange or return completely. Purchasing clothing online is difficult.

Forget the model sizes, and those suggestion sizes on the item. Go to the "click here" and get the actual measurements. That's really what you want because each item is often different even though the size stays the same. The click here is on each item in the description section.
I won't buy anything until I check the actual measurements, buying logo has taught me that lesson because no size medium is the same hardly for each item.

And another issue - when saying that the item comes in petite, regular, tall, etc. please say what the inseam of each is. Only takes a moment more to say a Petite is 28 inches, or a tall is 32. The hosts often do, but it comes halfway through the presentation. This causes me to order and then cancel when I learn that the size isn't right for me after all.

I wish they would put up on the screen the measurements of the models and hosts. Some say they are wearing a smaller size than someone who is larger than they are. Hips and Bust measurements would help alot. They size chart does not help, if you go by that, I would take Large, but models and hosts say they are in 2-3 sizes smaller and are heavier than I am. Also the free exchanges is kind of a joke. If you buy something thinking you can exchange and they are out of stock you have to pay the return fee.

I always "click here" to read the actual garment measurements. Most times this information comes close to what I receive. I appreciate when the models tell us the size and inseam of the garment that they are wearing. I have made a note of the usual normal information on the models my body is similar to. If they state a different size and the item IMO does not fit I can size up or down or pass.
The camera people do a great job when they try to give us a real close up to show fabric texture. Please designers and hosts if you must hold the garment up hold it still so the camera operator can focus. Also please keep your hands out of the picture so we can see the fabric.
Please allow us time to see each of the models. We all have a few that we relate to when trying to judge the garment sizing. We do not need to watch the hosts look at or admire themselves on camera while they decide if they want to purchase an item. They can place an order before or after the show. They saw the item at show prep or so some have said.
FYI. Many of the models belong to Joy Talent Agency. Look at the profiles for "Women " or "Plus", etc and you can find statistics on the models. Some included their bust, waist and hips. Hope this information helps. It did me.

The click here measurements are more reliable than the models at times. There is a plus size model that never tells them the correct size when they ask her and it's so obvious she is in the larger size so unless I see the host actually looks at her size tag I will use the click here measurements to gauge the size. It wasn't until another poster pointed it out that I started using the click here measurement chart even though it is an approximate chart knowing what size the model is wearing and how it fits on a live person is always better but QVC still doesn't get it after all the posts over the years about this issue; and I'm sure no one wants to be constantly returning items it gets very expensive. Depending on the garment I can stay with my regular size, go down a size or go up a size to get the fit I am comfortable with.

Dare I say that sometimes (underline sometimes) some of the models say that they don't know. Or, they will ask whether the item they are wearing is a 'numerical number' or 'letter' and then they will say the size that they are supposed to be wearing (their official size). I find it rather amusing. Said in a nice way, because it doesn't bother me, as I just guess that they are wearing XXS or Large, or whatever they usually say that they are wearing. I've 'memorized' their official sizes, so I usually size up to a Small or sometimes Medium, unless the XXS garment looks loose on them.

I just do not go by the models anymore. If their not stick skinny, they do not spend a whole lot of time on them anyhow.
If I like an item, I will look up the garment measurements and go from there. Nothing is set in stone these days with sizing - they vary it seems even in the same brand.
And, some of these models need a different size no matter what size they say they are wearing. And, some should not even be modeling a particular item. There is really not many garments arounf that look good on each and every woman.
That goes with pant length also., I really think the "high water" look is just ridiculous, no matter what your heel height is on the shoe. If you need a longer inseam, look for something else entirely.
