Many pajamas, nightgowns and home dresses have such silly and goofy patterns on them. Please....give us a nice clean looking garment without those patterns.  I don't know what those patterns are suppose to do but make you look silly.  I prefer classic clean look for mom. I have a very hard time getting nightwear for my mom. She doesn't want to look childish with patterns.

Re: Silly pajama patterns...

Carole Hockman usually has some patterns that are not goofy or silly.

Re: Silly pajama patterns...

I like whimsy especially on sleepwear.   I love long night shirts, think knee length Ts.  I get them in all cotton at Walmart.  They wash & dry beautifully and make me smile.  Many can be worn as bathing suit coverups.   Right now I am wearing one that is covered in flip flops.

I've gotten nice ones that mom loves from the Vera Bradley collection at Kohl's...one was cotton with some poly/stretch for softness, comfort, (and fyi, mom used to only wear 100% cotton but she loves these.) It was pretty-light gray with thin lilac strips, cap short sleeves, very simple. Another black with ivory trim...pretty lines, feminine, flattering, comfy, classic looks.  Carole Hockman also another good choice. You can sometimes find Carol Hockman at TJ's & Marshall's also. And Aria is another nice brand from TJ's & Marshall's too. HTH! Smiley Happy

I think they do that so you won't be as tempted to wear them 'out' in public.

Lots of their fabrics are nicer than the tops you can buy!

I agree.  I don't care for goofy designs on nightwear.

I don’t mind a good mixture of nightwear. Whimsical included.

Re: Silly pajama patterns...

This has very little to,do with the original post but it made me think of my dear mom who passed a few years ago.  A year prior to her passing, my dad died.  My mom had a slight issue with dementia but not enough for assisted living but enough that she couldn’t live alone.

My my four sisters and I took one week a month for a year and stayed at her home caring for her.  One of my sisters always bought her beautiful nightgowns with matching robes, she looked so beautiful in them and it made her feel like a queen.  I slept in sweats and gym shorts, and she always give me “sideways eyes” in the am.

I miss my mom

Oh phooey!  Life is too serious and we all need some things to make ud laugh and feel better  What more appropriate place than on our home wear?  Everything we wear doesn't have to be some statement - just have some fun with it.
