I would like to see shorter necklaces, 15-inch or 16-inch length, offered in gold, silver, stainless, etc. For some people, especially younger girls, the 18-inch chain is just too long. I think an 18-inch neck chain is too long when paired with the more delicate pendants which is the trend right now. I think the more delicate pendants look nicer when they lay higher on the neckline.

At least when you offer choices in length, offer a 15-inch or 16-inch, too.

I agree with you. I think the Q is catering to their main audience, which is larger-sized women. I notice that rings are rarely available in a size 4, for the same reason.

It's very inexpensive to have a chain or necklace shortened. An independent jeweler can do gold or silver. A jeweler can't make them longer.

If you want gold chains, check out sarrafdotcom. I think they also sell silver. Lots of 16".

I was a sales rep years ago, in the 70's, for a jewelry wholesaler. Back then 16 inch was standard. Somewhere it jumped to 18 inch as the average customer got larger.

i like it when necklaces can be clasped at 16 or 18 or 20"". then everyone is happy. i quite often don't buy because 18"" does not hit me right.

I am short and thin and the 18 inch does not hit me in a flattering way either. I would like to see more gold and silver chains in the 15 and 16 inch too.
