Shipping delays at South Carolina warehouse - long "in process" times

[ Edited ]

A lot of people in my sub-forum have been discussing the (frequently) extremely long "in process" times at the South Carolina warehouse facility. -- It sometimes feels as though these packages are in close proximity to the Bermuda Triangle.

One person's package has been sitting there since September 5th and another's since September 7th. And those are just two examples from the past few days. With regard to the package that's been there since September 5th, here's an update from today:

I called Customer Service this morning because it was still showing that it is sitting in Georgia. Really nice gal I talked with, but basically the only thing she could do is suggest I call the 800 number for the post office, give them the tracking number, and see what is up. She did mention that she lives in Virginia and that sometimes it can take 6 days for items to reach her from the Georgia facility. She also mentioned that having Labor Day in between my receiving time and ordering time didn't help. She noted that the post office frequently doesn't update their tracking online, and it could be out for delivery for today. She suggested I wait a day or two and then call the 800 number and find out what's happening.

Of course the post office is involved but, since this is a QVC warehouse, doesn't QVC have some responsibility as well?

I'd appreciate it if someone at QVC corporate would take a look at this ongoing problem.

It would also be great if there was some feedback from the moderators on what the specific issues are with regard to the South Carolina warehouse's relatively long "in process" times.

Thank you,

Re: Shipping delays at South Carolina warehouse - long "in process" times

I have this trouble all the time from the SC warehouse...In fact if things are shipped from their, (assuming you ever get updates) my things bypass where I live in Az, are sent to Ca, then back to Az???

I have had wait times as long as a week to leave the SC warehouse....It did not used to be like this, and not getting updates til the package is almost at your door is not good either..

The Q used to do a much better job at getting things out and doing updates, not sure why this isssue...

Hi @bebe777,

I am not really sure that I can speak to the concerns you mentioned about the South Carolina warehouse, but I certainly will forward them!

In regards to your order, if that item were to not arrive by the estimated delivery date, I would say give our Customer Service another call at 888-345-5788 then we can assist you with getting a replacement. Let us know if we can help! Smiley Happy

@Brittany-QVC thanks so much for forwarding our SC warehouse shipping issues to QVC corporate. That was the main thing we hoped would happen. Of course, more info on what's going on (or more aptly not going on) down there would be a plus. Smiley Happy

Evidently, a lot of us have been having the same trouble with the SC warehouse but we didn't realize how much of an issue it was until just recently.

Most of us purchased the recent September 5th Wen TSV as well as other related Wen products, specials and OTOs. So, of course, there were some shipping delays. Pretty quickly, it became clear that the shipping issues were with the SC warehouse. So I thought the Suggestion Box would be the best place to bring the issue to your attention.

Thank you again for your assistance here!!

Interesting that you mentioned this. I have two jewelry items that have been "In Process" for six days. I am not happy! Another jewelry item I had ordered a few days prior to these two shipped the day after it was ordered. Why are these taking sooooo long? GRRRRR!

I'm just going to put this out there - I've had no problem with package delays. I ordered two items Saturday pm of Labor Day weekend and they were delivered the following Tuesday and Wednesday - and that's with a holiday! However, in all fairness, when something is shipped to me from the left coast via UPS it takes at least 5 days and makes at least 4 stops along the way.

Re: Shipping delays at South Carolina warehouse - long "in process" times

I had an order disappear in SC as well! It was a Wen order that stayed there for almost two weeks (or seemed to via online reports). I did call QVC customer service and they resolved it IMMEDIATELY with friendliness and care. I was satisfied as a customer, but I do think a quality product got wasted and the Q lost money on that shipment falling into oblivion.

Re: Shipping delays at South Carolina warehouse - long "in process" times

Thanks, bebe, for posting my concern. Checked again this morning and still sitting in process from an order I placed on September 5. Customer service was nice, but basically as I stated earlier, I will have to contact the post office and see what is going on. Plan to do that. It was to arrive on 9/15, which is still a long time to wait for an order that was placed on 9/5.

Thanks for taking the time to post this for the QVC people and it is nice to see them respond to you quickly.
